Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix Dwtn - State Capitol, an IHG Hotel

This was my first time staying at this location. When we walked in we where greated by the lovely and friendly staff. Check in was super easy, the hotel was very clean and our room was super clean as well. I love that they offered a water bottle refilling station, recycling bins and offer full size dove products in the bathrooms. The bed was wondering and slept like a baby. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options, the staff kept everything clean and full. I will definitely be returning to this location. Your staff was amazing and friendly. I really hope you let all of them know what a great job they are all doing. They take pride in what they do and it shows.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We weren’t impressed by the lack of towels (only 2 bath towels, no wash clothes or hand towels for family of 3) and no hand soap. The noise from outside went on late, but a white noise app solved most of that.

The Holiday Inn Express was in a great location for taking our child to college. The room was comfortable and cool (very important in summer!) and the breakfast was good. The staff was helpful.

We checked in and the front desk employee was really polite and answered my questions. Our room was nice and cool since the temp was 112 that day. Everything was clean. We had 5 in our group so the next morning getting ready was a waiting game. The hotel needs and extra sink on the outside of the restroom. That way while someone is in the shower we can brush our teeth, fix our hair, etc. Love the shower it wasn't a tub it was a stand up shower. Anyway we went to the breakfast area at 7:30. There was scramble eggs, tiny cheese omelet, bacon, turkey sausage, toast, pancakes, and continental breakfast stuff like cinnamon rolls, muffins. Cereal too I think, we didn't get it. My kids got orange juice and they loved it. My coffee was great. My mom got tea and she said the hot water was not hot. My son forgot his toothbrush and I asked the employee for one and they said they were out of it. The next morning we decided to have breakfast elsewhere so I was going to make coffee in my room and realized there was no coffee maker. I was wondering if all rooms were like that. I asked the front desk when we were checking out and he was surprised and said we were supposed to have one. Anyway room was good. O yes my nephew said he slept good on the pullout couch he's 12...

The property was easy to find. The staff working was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very nice. I was happy the pool was open, our kids took advantage of that. The mini fridge and the microwave came in handy for late night snacks. I know what hotel I wanna stay at next time.

We had reserved a large suite as there were six people on our party, but we were initially put in a room with only one bed. Eventually we were given keys to the right room, but when we opened the door we were met with a cloud of smoke. Apparently someone had smoked in the room and the facility fumigated the room with air purifier. We sat in the hallway with our kids until 11:30 at night while the room aired out with a box fan. When we could finally go in, we found the carpet was wet. We pulled out the sleeper sofa and discovered not only was there no linen in the room, the mattress was covered in food particles. We had to carry it out to the hallway to shake it out. The room was dirty, with stains on the wall and floor. The toilet was broken, we had to flush it by pulling the rod in the tank. The toilet paper holder was broken and was just a piece of metal sticking out of the wall. There were cracked open tiles in the bathroom. The staff was kind and the breakfast was pretty good. The room was terrible.

I was there in Phoenix for a family court date. It happened to be the night of Valentines Day. Thankful the rate was not as high as the neighboring city hotels.
