Best Western Downtown Phoenix

Best Western was my parent's choice on family vacations because it was a dependable value, and that is still the case. You can be sure that you will have a clean comfortable room at an affordable price. It may not have some of the high end amenities of more upscale chains, but it has what you need for a comfortable stay

Major miscommunication between staff and management. After assurance from two different receptionists (during checking in and before checking out) that I could be refunded if checked out a day ealier even though booking was done through a third party, my family altered our travel plans since game 4 between Dbacks and Dodgers was no longer going to be played. The receptionist when we checked in told us no problem as long as we checked out before 11 and the receptionist in the morning told us there wouldn't be an issue but since it was through a third party, management had to do it but wasn't going to be there until 10am. When I went back at ten, I was told management said no and that they were in a meeting. I really do not know if that was true or an excuse not to talk to them. An Expedia agent also tried to get the refund and management refused. Great customer service would have been management acknowledging their employees made a mistake and honor what their employees told me. At the very minimum, management should have offered an apology for the inconvenience and loss of money caused by the wrong information given to me by their employees. Based on how management handled my situation, they do not care about customer service or their customers.

Very nice staff. Everything looked really clean but we found a child’s sock under the foot stool/bench in the room.

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The area was quiet and we felt safe having arrived late at night due to an unforeseen power outage at my son’s apartment. The cleanliness was important since my son was having an asthma episode. He slept like a baby. Will stay again if in the area on a future trip.

The hotel's location, price, and amenities were great for Phoenix during the Memorial Day weekend. There were a few unruly guests who were noisy in the wee hours of the morning, and towel/trash service were by request, but otherwise, the stay was nice for the family. Staff were friendly, the beds were comfy, the breakfast buffet was plentiful and adequately refilled, the pool area was small but the water was warm and not overly chlorinated. The kids did not want to leave!

Our stay here was a bit odd. The beds were clean and comfortable. The shower was great! However, my family's room was at the end of the hallway in front of the exit stairs. So we could hear people going in & out all night. When we first entered our room the bathroom door was locked and the phone was disconnected. Before bed, we secured our doors with a chair just in case. As a mother of daughters, it was just a bit sketchy. Other than being a paranoid parent, this overpriced stay was okay for our trip.
