Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cullman, an IHG Hotel

Still had reservations. Had 10 kids for track meet. Told they were closed for renovations. Was not notified by hotel or Expedia. Town was booked. Had to pay twice as much 30 minutes away with no assistance from hotel or Expedia. Very upset with both parties. Plus now I keep getting this same email from Expedia requesting a review on this property!!

I was in Cullman visiting family and needed a place to spend 3 nights. This hotel was perfect. It was a great location being close to I65. The room was very clean, the bed extremely comfortable and the breakfast buffet had anything you could possibly want from scrambled eggs to pancakes, fruit, yogurt, cereal and much more. The staff was very kind and courteous and best of all, non intrusive. I definitely would stay here again when visiting family.

The hotel is new and the pool is kept clean and breakfast is nice. We had a smoking room but you could smell the smoke when you got off of the elevator and not all the rooms on our floor were smoking rooms. Not too appealing for our visitors. This is the nicest hotel in town and you'd think it would be better ventilated. Our grandchildren came to stay with us and our daughter said their things smelled like smoke when they came home and we didn't smoke in the room with them there.

Very nice and clean hotel. They have a indoor pool and small workout room. They also provide towels which is nice since you don't have to use the ones in the room. The breakfast was about what you would expect, lots of choices, and the kids really liked the pancake making machine. It's close to I-65 and has easy access on and off the main road.

We booked 3 nights in Alabama as part of a family USA holiday, just to see something of the countryside of the south. We had various people suggest we would be bored and were mad to head here, but we loved it. The hotel is beautiful, the included breakfast was plentiful and very varied (a dairy fridge, a hot food section, freshly cooked pancakes, hot cinnamon rolls, a pastry section, cereals, fresh fruit....). The pool is small but very warm and great for relaxation at the end of a busy day sightseeing. The location is in a nice part of town and very accessible to all the major cross routes. The room furnishings are nice and comfortable and the shower has great water pressure (a big deal for me!). The staff were very friendly and helpful. My one and only complaint - which I have of most hotels rooms in most places I stay - is that it needs more lighting! Why, oh why, are hotel rooms always so dark and lacking in proper lighting. But overall, a great place for a holiday, and free of tourist crowds. You just can't beat southern hospitality and friendliness. :D
