Great location with everything at your doorstep… Newcastle city centre only few miles away… Megan, the staff at reception when we arrived at around 7:30 pm was simply amazing. Her welcome when we arrived set us up to amazing time for that evening. My wife already planning a stay in the hotel for a shopping trip with the kids.

Just stayed for one night visiting family. Nice big clean room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The aircon worked well. Plenty of free on site parking. High quality hotel at prices you can expect at a budget chain. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great service and hotel was well equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Good location for the metro centre and easy to get to A1 and surrounding areas. Leisure facilities are good- swimming pool and sauna/steam and gym. Sunday was overrun with kids jumping in and couldn’t swim at all. As a parent I’m ok with children using the facilities and having fun, it just should be manned a little better. The only thing that lets down the comfort of the room is the air con, doesn’t really work but the reception moved our room and brought fans to the room which made it more comfortable in the heat. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of continental and English, enjoyable and not overly busy. If you aren’t a Marriott member and sign up on arrival you get a free drink for the hotel bar which was a nice perk. The facilities and the service we couldn’t faultl, particularly reception staff they were fab. Would return and would recommend.

All staff very friendly ...poor food in restaraunt...under cooked chips.. fish from a box over priced for quality of meal ...kid meal well over priced at £7 for a cheap hot dog & chip ...and extra £2 if they wanted beans ...extra £ for kids ice cream ..service in restaraunt very slow 45 mins between starter to main

The hotel feels quite dated but it comes with nice facilities. The staff were super friendly but the room unfortunately was not feel clean. There were someone's earphones left in plain view along with a used cotton bud. We were put in a family room but the doors did not open very wide and we really struggled with getting the pram in and out. There's no pedestrian access and we were forced onto the roads with two young children which did not feel safe especially after dark.

Nice hotel in a good location for the Metrocentre and for trains into Newcastle. There are also lots of food outlets close by and the kids enjoyed the swimming pool.

Room was nice and clean ,a good size for a family of 3 .Beds were comfortable and the lined curtains made the room nice and dark to sleep . Room was nice and quiet and was not aware of any noise through the night .The breakfast was very good and a good selection .Tried the pool and steam room which were good Over all a good stay ,on the Saturday night we walked over to the metro centre which took 5 minutes ish where there is a good selection of places to eat and a couple of bars

Great stay with my family.

Amazing hotel, staff are all lovely and helpful. Leisure facilities are brilliant, children allowed in pool all day until 9pm. Rooms are immaculate, spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to the metro centre, multiple restaurants and easy access to the A1 for visits to Alnwick, Berwick etc. Plenty of parking around the hotel. We will be back!
