Receptionists where very pleasant and friendly at both check in and check out.
Beds in the rooms where so small and not comfortable at all. Our biggest issue was the breakfast chef, food and service. We where offered tea or coffee, coffee didnt arrive. The food was nothing short of an embarrassment. Everything was freezing cold, the hash browns where literally black, eggs, bacon, sausages so overcooked and greasy that it was easily the worst breakfast buffet ive ever seen. Cookies where next to the buffet and when my wife went to get 2 for my young kids, the chef Barry started shouting loudly at her "NO NO NO NO these are not for you!" How dare he scream at my wife like that, and why where they there?, i said from my seat, "well dont leave them there!" I'm a chef if 23 years and would be sacked in a second if i had his attitude. Barry is a terrible chef who everyone clearly hated working with. He's washed up and should be ashamed to put his name to preparing breakfast like that. Even the manageress tried to tell him the food wasnt good, but he didnt change any of it. She looked to the sky in dispair. This was all in front of the dining room. Disgraceful. He clearly hates his job, life and colleagues and should be fired immediately for his conduct. If my young sons weren't with me id have told him exactly what i thought of him there and then. But he wasn't worth my time and effort. We quickly left without finishing the disgusting food he produced.pathetic attitude.

Will never be back again. I booked a junior suite and it was located in the West Wing. The called West Wing is somewhere you need to ask for help in order to reach.
I asked for a late check out and they asked for 20£.

Just back from a lovely two night stay my kids loved it, no shortage on towels everything is spotless, staff super friendly, only thing I'd say is if you're looking for quiet maybe not the place to be as after 9pm it seems to be quite loud outside the room was hot so had to keep window open the noise wasn't an issue but if you do want peace and quiet then may not be hotel for you, location tho is excellent so close to everything.
I'd highly recommend to anyone

The room was on the small size. It functioned for what we needed which was as a base to visit family, but still felt a little claustrophobic.
The shower in particular was poor. I’m not exactly a giant but I had to crouch in order to wash my hair. The bath seemed smaller than my own bath at home.
Limited car parking too. Appreciate it is a on a first come, first served basis.

Staff friendly, helpful and approachable.
Room and bathroom clean and omfortable bed. 10/10 for the staff, the room and the bit of the hotel i saw. Location excellent for city centre and train station too.
The only negative was getting woken up (3 times) during the night by very noisey and very drunk guests (one of which banged into my door, probably falling). The swearing coming from them probably would offend some people or not good for anyone with young children (who would have been terrified being woken up by that. Perhaps the security staff could escort drunk groups to their rooms to minimise disruption to other guests.
