Our stay was for a short family visit, we have been here before and as the last time it was excellent, the room is large and quite in a part of the hotel with access to the garden with your own seating area, we had a meat in the restaurant and it was the best fish and chips ever, served in a quite corner so we could enjoy a chat over lunch, service couldn't be faulted, absolutely excellent staff. We will stay there again and would strongly recommend it

Stayed at Potters Heron for two nights Christmas and Boxing Days, whilst visiting our family, including our grandchildren in Chandlers Ford. Very convenient, we slept well and we had a well cooked breakfast on the last morning. We have stayed here several times over the years without any issues and it remains our favourite hotel in the area.

Check in with Fiona went well. She was helpful and good humoured. We were a little disappointed with the room allocation. Fiona offered to change our room but the one on offer was worse than the one we checked in with. We stayed at Potters Heron the week before and had a nicer room with a bigger bed. We dined in the restaurant. Staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The meal was great although a little over priced for a pub restaurant. £24 for a small salmon trout dish. My husband enjoyed his fish and chips £18. We had breakfast the next day. Hot drinks are self serve on a low table. Not sure how health & safety that is with children running around in the restaurant. The tea/coffee station was hectic. Why such small cups and saucers? Mugs are better and less hazardous when children in the area. Not much choice of fresh fruit, yogurt choice limited. Breakfast needs more staff. I mentioned a few negatives about the room to Fiona as positive criticism. . I believe she’ll try and action the feedback gave her. We will stay again as overall it’s value for money. Hotel needs tlc but staff aware of this.

Receptionist very helpful she made sure we had our rooms close together as a family as apparently we were originally on different floors. Would stay here again.

Lovely staff, nice food and drink, pity about the noisy wedding guests waking us at 2am and later and children charging around hallways after 10 pm. We got unlucky with 2 weddings during our 3 night stay. Amenities ok but Could have done with a fan in the room as was extremely hot, liked the eco friendly soaps etc. some areas tired but appreciate not everything can be made perfect in a large hotel.
