The Winchester Hotel & Spa

The Front house staff were like kids from High School not courteous, lift was not working, very dated place, Spa and Health clum was closed( not mentioned while booking), bar/restaurent staff was very dull. Not again

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station. Few minutes walk to the city centre. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood. It’s clean and with comfortable bed. I had a good sleep and feel refreshed the morning after. Swimming pool and spa is not operational the time we stayed in the hotel. I enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Spa and swimming pool were under renovation, hadn't seen this as I booked in a rush then continued driving to meet family for a meal. First time we knew was when we arrived. Woken up both mornings by the noise of workmen but I am a light sleeper, daughter slept through.

Excellent breakfast and pleasant staff. Unfortunately however we had extremely uncomfortable night as the mattress so unsupportive my husband and I kept rolling in towards the middle of it. Both of us woke with painful backs and had to get up early, which when it’s your first night away from your baby is not what you want!! The room was also extremely hot and the thermostat instructions provided were for a different thermostat. Eventually we managed to turn the heating off though. The hotel was very expensive for what it is. Had to pay extra for Parking. Had been excited to use the swimming pool but it was the shape of an hour glass and I was unable to do lengths with anyone else in the pool as two people can’t swim through the middle at the same time, strange! We have this feedback on our written form provided at the hotel but have not heard anything back.
