Holiday Inn Express Southampton M27 Jct7, an IHG Hotel

-Parking is over crowded unless you get there early -air con in the room was non existent, we stayed with our little one who was sweating just in a nappy, it was nowhere near 19 degrees as the Aircon said -room felt small with the sofa bed up -walls were thin, we could hear next door and I feel sorry for them having to listen to our little one cry at early hours (again woke up too hot) -shower only? Coldest water still felt too warm However... Breakfast was nice, had a small area for kids to play, close by to shops if you needed anything. Free parking where you could find it.

Good for family

We only stayed 1night and it was a lovely place and close enough to where we needed to be the next morning for a family funeral.

Good hotel for short stays. I stayed over the Easter holidays weekend. It was chaotic at the breakfast buffet with kids, but the staff tried their level best to keep it under control.

Biggest bonus for us it was pet friendly Location from the hovercraft museum (that is only open on Saturday 10 to 4pm) the hotel was good and easy to find and close to other amenities stayed for one night on the way home. cooked breakfast was good stayed on a Saturday night families use this hotel when going to the pepper pig so was busy with families.

Hotel was clean, room was comfortable and staff service was excellent. Only let-down was breakfast which was a bit of a free-for-all at the buffet. Hotel is definitely a family hotel and lots of young kids were staying… as a couple, we would probably pick an alternative next time to suit us better.

Room was clean. The breakfast was very good. There appeared to be long term guests with children who had no regard for other guests. Rooms not soundproof. Children could be heard outside our window and running up and down the corridor.

Booked to stay one night for business. Hotel was very busy! Everything was fine apart from noise. It seems a very busy and frenetic hotel, but it may have been due to half term. The walls of the room are very thin, and you can hear people talking in the next room. The room opposite wedged their door open so their kids could run up and down the corridor screaming. It was necessary for me to go in their room and remonstrate with them to put a stop to it. Then at midnight the people returned to the room next door but one drunk and shouting. The guy next door was banging the wall to try and get them to stop but got ignored. Again, I had to get out of bed and go to the room to sort it. A terrible night due to low lifes.
