Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

Stayed here before with other family members for a birthday treat. Reception and check in quick - staff friendly booked evening meal and breakfast times. Room was clean and comfortable on 2nd floor. Bathroom clean but could do we updating around the bottom of bath. Shame no water in room to drink. Should have booked treatment in Spa as none available when looked at web site - used the pool area and able to swim - there are some loungers around pool but limited. Children are able to use pool but not all day which is good if you just want to swim. Staff at Oulton Hall were all very pleasant and any request was actioned. Would definitely stay here again.

Being an older property we experienced issues with the plumbing and electricity but front desk was always helpful. Pool only allowed children at certain times which was disappointing. Restaurant was understaffed for evening dining, but much better at breakfast. Parking was free and easy. Night manager was lovely and incredibly helpful and friendly.

Staff were excellent. Attentive , helpful,friendly ……lovely with the children.

Very comfortable hotel although the bed was a little hard for me. Good breakfast and my family loved the pool.

Very friendly staff, nice hotel, very welcoming. We stayed with other family members who booked separately but the same room type and price, our room had a fully stocked fridge all completely and there’s was empty apart from 2 bottles of water. They said ours was decorated better, where they had paper peeling off the walls. At breakfast the staff were a bit eager to clear things away, I was literally wiping my mouth with the napkin after finishing my food and the plates were being taken away from our table, we also then went to the cold breakfast bar area for fruit, when we came back to the table it had been totally cleared of our drinks that we were still drinking and cutlery had all gone, so we then had to steal from table next to us, the restaurant was not busy at all with only a handful of people in there, so not hard too see we were still in view of the table, the staff were still walking about but no apology was even given
