Malmaison Leeds

We have stayed at many Malmaison hotels. The bed was so comfortable, slept like a baby as always in their beds, they could do with an option of a more firm pillow. Breakfast was fabulous as always, as was the evening meal, we opted for the half board package this time. I cannot fault the staff and restaurant. Leeds is in need of some attention, the first room we were given had a broken toilet seat, we were moved across the hall which was fine apart from there was a musty damp smell to the room, they are obviously aware of this because they had been in to open all of the windows before we moved across, you couldn't keep the windows open because it was on a very noisy corner of the city. The bathroom definitely needed some attention, the taps were very loose and the grouting around the shower was not very nice, there was a gap so when you had a shower there was a pool of water on the floor to mop up when you got out, the door was also quite hard to close and open. You can't connect your own HDMI device (Fire stick) to the TV and use it as they have disabled the input selection on the remote control. I find this a bit annoying personally as sometimes when we are staying in hotels we have decided to spend more money on the hotel for comfort and convenience and sacrifice having enough money to go out on one of the evenings, so we brought our fire stick so that we could watch a film on the first evening and just relax in the room, this obviously wasn't possible.
