We have stayed before on a number of occasions as a great budget hotel. So we have used many times for the odd few nights for work, visiting family and friends. It’s very clean comfortable ( although you need to check bed size when booking or if you like a bit of space then possibly go for twin room as “some” of their double beds are standard 4’6 double) and local facilities for shopping and restaurants are excellent. We also used to live and work close by so we know the area well so it’s a great location and easy parking. The hotel is a perfect place to stay when prices are reasonable but demand pushes them up considerably on occasions and then I would much rather stay elsewhere where there are more facilities, as no baths here only showers and other local hotels and there are many of them that have leisure facilities, baths and where full breakfast is included, Here where it’s just a continental type (and extra.!) That said, we would highly recommend it for a few nights and when price reasonable ( in my view under £90 for what’s on offer) it’s a perfect place to stay when you can get those prices so shop around.!

A trip to visit family nearby. I know the hotel and sister hotel across the car park very well, having lived and stayed in the area for many years and so a go to hotel if you want a clean, fresh and comfortable room. We had to wait to be checked in as staff not available at first ( a little disappointing after a long journey.!) but eventually booked in without issue. It’s a Staff free hotel but easily navigated and they are on call next door in pub if needed. We would return and use hotel more but it only has showers and no bath. Any longer than a 1 night stay my wife would insist on a room with a bath. So we use sister hotel across car park more. But very good stay for 1 night or for one on business.

good spot, a little far from everything, but I was aware of this and definitely aimed at kids (advertised this way so that's no surprise) Heated towel hanger was really cool, the food was fine. small complaint had a one shop stop bodywash/shampoo mixuture which is never great

Perfect for families, we felt welcome and the design of the rooms is beautiful. Excellent breakfast. The only thing we didn't like, you cannot give the children a proper bath, even in the family rooms there are only showers.

Good hotel for a short family stay. Breakfast bags were provided- which was a great idea given the Covid-19 restrictions. However, ate at the adjoining pub/restaurant but food was very average.

Booked a family room with a toddler staying; no bath facilities and the sofa bed was made up which was not suitable for the toddler. Breakfast options were okay but the staff weren’t very helpful - everything seemed like too much to ask (such as extra napkins to help tidy the toddler’s mess and a highchair).

Helpful, friendly staff. Good size room for the family. Loads of hot water. Very clean and well stocked. The children had a queen size bed which was fine but the duvet was too small to cover them. Personal choice for me- the pillows were a bit lumpy Breakfast was good. Large choice of pastries, cereals and fruit. The area was quiet and the grounds lovely. I will come again as overall we had a great time, thank you
