Gladstone House

Great spaces, quiet, showcasing lots of contemporary art. If I were pressed to find any quibbles, and this is incredibly minor, the garbage can could have been easier to find. Overall, a fantastic stay and would recommend it to friends or family without hesitation.

It is close to family, we can walk to their house. It is very comfortable convenient to the Ossington strip and walked to restaurants there

The Gladstone is an amazing boutique hotel. The building is historic in both architecture and structure. That being said it adds to the overall charm and character of the building. The rooms are a mix of contemporary and mid-century modern aesthetic. Very clean and maintained bathrooms and bedrooms greet you instantly. The elevator is a hand operated mechanism requiring a bellhop which just enhances the Gladstone experience. Every floor has an open sitting area perfect for enjoying your favorite cup of coffee or cocktail while checking emails or catching up with friends. Some people might complain about outside noise, but please keep in mind the hotel is situated in a younger part of downtown with an active night life and the hotel does not have the modern sound deadening insulation and windows of contemporary hotels. The staff was amazing during my stay. I don't think young kids would appreciate the style or amenities, but if you're traveling with friends, as a couple, or just solo this property is a must book. If you are looking for an experience away from global brand hotels, please consider this gem in the heart of Toronto.
