Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Gananoque, an IHG Hotel

Two night stay as a family of 4. The room was on the tight side with the pull out bed having to be wedged between one of the doubles and the window. But would have be fine without it. Fridge didn't really get very cold and water pressure in shower was poor. Pool was great and having outdoor patio next to it was a bonus. Breakfast was fine and standard breakfast at these places.

We were unable to stay at this hotel as we had an urgent emergency (family member in palliative care) and decided to cut our vacation short and drive straight home from New Brunswick to Ontario (13 hour drive). We had cancellation on the room; however, it was after the time as we only received an urgent call around 11pm at night. We immediately called the hotel to cancel but were told to contact Hotels.com. Hotels.com negotiated on our behalf, but the hotel refused to grant an exception on compassionate grounds. I called back to the hotel the following day and nothing was noted in our file and they charged us the full amount as a no show. No supervisor was available to speak to. We had booked 6 nights of our vacation on Hotels.com and showed up for all of the rest. Given it is prime season and a Thursday night reservation, the hotel would have been able to book the room.

Visiting family in the Thousand Islands, this was a great solution for overnight accommodations. Friendly staff, clean room with 2 queen beds, nice breakfast available in the AM. We will definitely use this hotel on future stays.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and it was excellent . The staff at the reception were very nice and helpful. Hot breakfast was enjoyable. My kids loved the swimming pool. Overall I am very satisfied with our stay. I will definitely go back to this hotel if I am around 1000 islands. Highly recommended.

The front desk staff were amazing. I really felt at home and they actually really cared about myself and the kids stay. Helpful, professional and everything is within walking distance. Clean sheets and bed/pillow very comfortable.

Good overall, beds are great! breakfast is good by modern highway hotel standards. only pain - there were 4 kids hockey teams at the hotel so it was noisier; but adults were worse with gab-fest in the halls at 1045pm, even after front desk call - I shouldnt have had to be telling them to GTB. haha. But definite will return

This is a great hotel for families. The kids had a great time in the pool. The hot breakfast in the morning was delicious. Best of all were the staff who were helpful, checked us in early and quickly, and everyone was very friendly. Thanks for the stay.

Great little pool for the kids!

Great location near the highway and close to Gananoque pier. The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna, and fitness room which we used during our stay. Room was modern and had a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. The bed was super comfortable for a really good nights sleep. Staff were professional and helpful to provide extra pillows, blankets and towels when requested. We recommend this hotel for families and we would stay here again.
