The Holiday Inn Waterfront Kingston is clean, convenient, affordable, with a great location in downtown Kingston. The front desk was fast. friendly and professional. Our spacious room, with king size bed and sofa, accompanied with everything you'd need for vacation and business stays. and had an excellent water view. Our staycation was pleasant and we'd definitely recommend this hotel to families, couples and business professionals.

Not at all worth 350$ a night. The service is bare minimum not a single request came through with zero issues. The toilet was malfunctioning the entire visit, the room was not very clean I’m talking coffee stains visible on the table legs and underneath the table top, cobwebs behind a side table thst wasn’t pushed all the way towards the wall, the balcony was FILTHY! Full of cobwebs and dead mayflies. Patio doors covered in greasy hand prints and what looked like a child’s mouth print on the glass. One of those situations where the more you look the worse it gets. The whole place is in various stages of disrepair broken door handles in the very scary stairs were definitely in violation of a fire code! Couldn’t get out of the staircase at main level! To top it off the young front desk employe didn’t even ask how my stay was, while her coworker was on her phone scrolling away. We love coming to Kingston but will be going to the delta next time. This place still screams 1967. With some cheap makeup on, coupled by lack of competent staff turns the whole thing into a real bummer.

Nothing. I would never stay at this Holiday Inn again. The rooms were cold. No hot water. The hallway was filled with hockey tournament parents children. The parents were drinking. The children were playing very loudly in the hallway. We let the Holiday Inn staff know. They were not able to control the group they refused to leave the hallway. Unbelievable behaviour and unbelievable that the hotel did not enforce or manage this group. We will not be coming back.

Our stay was awful. The condition of the property is drab and in need of renovation. Our air conditioner unit was left open with no screws and the shower smelled and had black mold (I would add the photos here if I could). The noise from the cleaners and other guests was highly disturbing. There was a team of young adult soccer players running around the place like children aggravating other guests and no one stopped them. Added to this, was a long wait at reception leading out of the door and the service was poor. On checking out they didn’t ask how our stay was, which was probably wise. No way is this worth the money we paid!!!

Our first choice in Kingston because it's at the waterfront and close to Fort Henry. A great place for a family getaway!

This property is right on the lake and walking distance to many stores and restaurants in downtown Kingston. The double room we got was a good size for three people and beds were clean and comfortable. The pool and gym area are also on the bigger size and clean. It's a well kept facility except for following cons: The bathroom floor in our room had not been swept of mopped as I saw toothpaste in middle of the floor and multiple long pieces of hair on the floor and in the tub. There was a child's toy under the bathroom counter. This is also a very busy facility and staff interactions at front desk were perfuntory. The bartender also seemed inattentive even though there were only two people in the bar/dining area. Lastly, the parking costs $30/night but is right on the property and that are cheaper on some nights but not on other nights. So plan ahead.

Location is amazing. Room was fine. Acoustics in the building are horrible. Heard people / kids running up and down hallways and most particularly, heard people up and down the stairwell all night - like a herd of elephants. (room 432 is right beside the stairs). Either add some insultation in your walls or discourage people from using the stairs. Also, I'm certain I overpaid for this one King bed room ($400/night) but I thought I'd pay it because of the lovely location. But HIGHLY disappointed in the noise, and FLABBERGASTED I had to pay $28/night for parking on top of everything. There's enough competition out there - I'm pretty sure I won't be back to this particular hotel.

Room was pleasant upon first entry. Putting our belongings away and noticed the fridge was off - warm. Putting our clothes away - a dirty popsicle stick on the floor next to bed beside the patio door. My husband takes the ice bucket down to get ice - behind the ice bucket is the metal cap cage from a bottle of wine. Next morning- as we were tidying the room before heading out - we found another dirty popsicle stick under the clock radio. With all of this - two separate times we left the hotel and came back a time later to NO PARKING. The first time we circled the parking lot for over 10 minutes looking, waiting... then finally. The second time we circled and waited. Nothing. We had to park where there was actually not a spot and carried our bags up to our room. My husband then had to go back down to the parking lot to sit in our vehicle and wait for over 15 mins before he managed to get a spot. BOTH times we went to the front desk - first time we were told with a 'smile' that 'oh yes, that happens'.....Second time I was told that we could park anywhere free at the sides. I asked why we weren't told this before ??- 'mmmmm, I dunno' - was the answer I got. My husband and I going on many weekend excursions with our children. We don't mind paying for good service. This time we paid - and did not get good service.
