My kid and I were there for wrestling tournament and the place was very nice. Love the tiki bar outside looking in to the water and boats. Drinks and food where great. We got in early check in early which was perfect.

Alot of money for a very dated hotel. Beautiful view from the balcony but unable to enjoy it because it was infested with large spiders and webs all over everything. One of the beds still had hair and dirt and looked like it hadnt been cleaned. Rust spots in the bathtub/shower and the shower curtain was worn out and dirty looking. After years of my kids wanting to stay at the "fancy" hotel we were all very disappointed and will be staying elsewhere on our next visit.

I booked a room with the view of the castle and river. When we arrived the smoke detector was "chirping" we requested a new battery. Later in the day we checked on the battery and were told by a staff person that they could not find them!! There is a hardward store a short distance away - apparently no one thought about going to purchase one! They moved our room - a downgrade overlooking a boat garage?? They did credit us the difference in room charge. The bathtub had no bath mat or "slip skids" in the tub - very slippery and unsafe. Lite above bathroom sink out. Floor in bathroom had hair and dirt in the corner - Yuck! The entry lobby is updated and very pleasant - However rooms are very dated and worn - Obviously I will never return.

My kids loved the pool and hot tub. We loved having a balcony and the beds were super comfy. We loved that we could walk wherever we needed to and that getting on the shuttle to boldt castle was a 5 minute walk!! Great spot and looks beautiful all lit up in the evening too!

Second stay at this hotel. Had a room with the 'upstairs'. This was nice for privacy, but I would not at all recommend it for older people or children. The winding stairs would be difficult to maneuver for many people. It's very narrow. But it's private, and has a separate tv. I stayed with a friend and it was really nice to have two completely separate spaces for ourselves. Location is perfect, bay is beautiful. Perfect to watch the sunset. Hotel restaurant is expensive but food is very good! Waitstaff is WONDERFUL. Tiki bar is fun for a little bit more lively conversation. Right next door to shopping and Uncle Sam Boat tours which is a must do. Last year we stayed in a jacuzzi suite. I liked that room much better, but it was a bit pricier. The hotel is dated, but I think this adds to the charm. I enjoy the retro feel. If I want modern, I'd go to a 'chain' hotel. I would absolutely stay here again. Pool is a bit chilly, but very clean. Hot tub is nice. The 'gym' ie. weight room is small, and is in a glass room, so sun is beating on it and there's on AC. I would have liked to use the TM, but it's way to hot in there, even at night. Sit on the deck/dock in that back, have a drink, watch the sunset. Perfect. On a side note, this probably isn't a good choice for a hotel for children. Teens would probably be bored unless they like to shop- there's a lot of that close by. Great hotel for friends, romance, retired couples, etc.

Overall a nice place. Would be spectacular when in season for the area. Off season-just a nice place to get away. Its a little dated. Our Murphy beds in room were comfortable. But duct tape hanging off corners of frame made them look old. Our room very spacious. But while exploring our room my daughter open a door and it went i to adjoining room while guests were in there. They had 2 small kids who were very loud, crying until after 11pm. We were 2 Moms-so didnt complain-we get it! What can you do! I suggested the place as were ate at restaurant pre covid and I knew my friend would love it. It was closed for winter season. (But we get that too!)

If you're a smoker, this property is for you! If you don't care to have your kids' lungs filled with second hand smoke, keep looking. This property is advertised as "non-smoking", however guests are permitted to smoke on the balconies, which, as you can see from the pictures, are all connected and open air. We were surrounded by chain smokers, so anytime we wanted to enjoy our balcony, we were met with cigarette smoke, which also went into our room when we opened the door to go back in to escape the smoke. My 11 year old just finished 2.5 years of cancer treatment so this was not an ideal environment and I would not consider this a kid-friendly atmosphere. The manager said she could only talk to the other guests, offered no discount or even an apology. I'm not sure if any of you have ever tried to reason with a chain smoker, but it's pretty much useless. So, no balcony river views for us who choose clean lungs. The carpet in the rooms was dirty and damp feeling and there was gunk in every corner - a sure sign that cleaning is quick and careless. The fitted sheet had stains on it and the walls are paper thin - we could hear EVERYTHING going on in the room next door, yes, absolutely EVERYTHING, all night long. Overall, the grounds are nice, the food was good. This may be better suited for people with no kiddos who live an active night life and have low standards for cleanliness. We loved the area and plan to come back, but not to the Riveredge!

I loved that they upgraded us to a larger room and close to the elevator because I was I. A wheel chair and using crutches to get around they were are all very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends

We had a junior family room. It was a big open room, a lot of space. Even though it faces the parking lot, it was quiet and the view of the small town was not too bad. The upgraded bathroom was big and clean and with plenty of supplies. The service was super. Front desk was very friendly. Room service was great. My son had some stuffed animals scattered in bed when we left in the morning. And in the afternoon when we came back, all of them were positioned in bed comfortably “sleeping”. There are a small pool and a hot tub. Good for kids and adults to enjoy together. The outside deck is a good place to watch sunset and relax. The location cannot be better. Walking distance to boat ride and restaurants and shops. The only complaint was the AC was too loud. Also the pullout sofa bed was very squeaky.
