We took a family trip to Canada and Couldn’t be more happy with our stay at the Fairmont. It was beautiful, clean, and family friendly.

The staff was amazing! Especially with little ones. But the room was disgustingly hot. The first night was okay - the second night was unbearable. I called down while we went for breakfast. They said they would send someone up. All they did was open the window. We only slept from 2am a 7 year old so uncomfortable she was up all night. Air conditioning didn’t work. The thermostat said it was 78 in the room. No fan in be bathroom so it made it worse when you took a shower.

We loved our room on the second floor, easy for the kids to go to the pool. We liked the mail drop, the kids were able to watch their postcards drop. Room was clean, staff was friendly and not pretentious. Thank you!

We stayed in this hotel 3 nights with an 8 month old baby, and our experience was bad, we got room with squeaky mattresses every time when we turned around the mattress the baby woke up. When I made the reservation I booked the room with a view, so I will show what view we’ve got😭 For the price we payed I think we should have had a better room and a better view. Another story about baby crib, we ordered it when we did booking, check in was approximately 3-4pm o’clock and the crib we got at 10 pm😭 after few reminders 😭 crib was unclean, frayed and dusty, bedsheets in baby crib where dirty with some stains☹️ The room was clean but the headboard was dusty, as my husband have allergy which made him sneezed a lot😞

Can only speak to the Gold floor (9th floor) experience. It was wonderful and well worth the splurge if budget allows. Very attentive gold floor "front desk" (special shout out to Melany and Matthew who made special taxi accommodations when the complimentary service car could not take our young toddler). Plenty of food at breakfast, afternoon and evening snacks to keep you going throughout the day, as well as coffee & beverages. Only have to pay for alcohol. Make sure to take advantage of the complimentary service car that can take you to destinations within the downtown area - newly implemented in June 2023 for Gold guests. We felt the savings on daily drinks, food, and transportation made the premium price justifiable.

My partner and I were looking forward to a restful and fun night - our first one away from our baby. We loved getting to explore the city from this location however didn’t get to experience the quiet we were looking for. We were surprised to be able to hear our neighbours quite clearly, and were welcomed into the hotel being informed that there might be a fire alarm test being performed as early as 9am the next day. I wish somehow we could have been informed about the time of the alarm - and that they were testing earlier as our trip was purposed to ensure rest! Pros and cons, overall a good experience just not what we were hoping for.

Bathroom was too small for 2 adults and 2 kids and the heating in the room was problematic.

This is my by far my favourite hotel in Vancouver. It is so easy to get to by transit, and is located in a great part of the city . This hotel has so much vintage charm, and has the most beautiful details throughout. The rooms are very spacious and clean, with extremely comfortable beds. But what keeps me coming back is the staff !!! Truly, the staff here are second to none! Neil at the concierge desk is by far the best in the city. He constantly goes over and above to make you feel like family. Honestly, he is the best ! The hotel also has a beautiful restaurant attacked called Notch8. We had the breakfast here. Wendy was our server, and all I can say is ask to be in her section ! She takes so much pride in making you feel at home. A true gem. This hotel is only minutes from the convention centre, shopping, Rogers Arena, and B.C. Place which makes is so desirable as well. There are hundreds of hotels to choose from in the area, however to me this castle in the city has the best staff and location going! Thank you Fairmont Hotel Vancouver for always being consistent, connected, and kind to me, and my family during our stays with you.

Great experience and front desk and concierge were EXCELLENT. The room was clean. The only things we didn't love was that the water pressure was extremely weak, and the kids running up and down the halls screaming (nothing to do with the hotel), and they didn't replenish the sweetner for the coffee machine...really small stuff. The breakfast buffet and service were also amazing. The flowers in the lobby and overall presentation was fantastic and would stay there again.
