Days Inn by Wyndham Calgary Northwest

amazing welcome and follow-up call to see if our room was ok after check-in, unexpected but a lovely touch! easy parking and low pile carpet made getting our bags to our room easy. this is an older hotel, and obviously sees lots of use BUT its a great deal for the location to UoC and the childrens hospital. will certainly stay again.

Very close to family and a large selection of restaurants.

Front desk check in/out was fine. We had a queen bed room, which was okay, but the mattress was very uncomfortable. It was lumpy and no structure. Bathroom was modern and clean. There is no noise barriers/thin walls. People/kids talking in the hall and room next door was very loud. During our stay there were kids yelling outside our room at 2:30 am. Would not stay there again.

Very decent place to stay. Clean and family oriented. Only downside is parking is a bit awkward with a bigger vehicle.

My keys kept not working had to keep getting the key reactivated or whatever they do. All I could hear was animals and babies all times of day

Nice hotel, filled with kids (sports teams) while there but it was still quiet enough to get some quality sleep. The hallways stunk when we got there (musty) but better than most days inn with the air fresheners/cleaning substances so strong that hurt my nose. Beds were perfect and the AC was so strong and enough white noise to fall asleep to.

The Staff are amazing, polite and attentive to respond. Breakfast is good and the seevers too. The bed is creaking too loud, we can hear the next room. Having kids is not a good option.

Decently Priced and Conveniently located. Being right on 16th Ave made it very easy to get pretty much anywhere especially the university or children’s hospital. Right across from access to Edworthy Park and walking path along the river. Staff were very friendly. Check in and out went very smoothly. The room itself was ok. Clean and adequate size. Needs updating. Bathroom was especially in rough shape. Holes in shower curtain, old undersized fan. Parking was fine as long as the hotel isn’t booked up. Stalls are very tight even for a smaller vehicle which we didn’t have. Complementary breakfast is very very basic. Breakfast room is quite cramped. Obviously an afterthought. Best for grabbing a yogurt or a muffin and coffee/juice and going. Overall it’s adequate for an inexpensive and clean stay for a couple nights. Not my first choice to stay for an extended vacation.
