Best Western Plus Suites Downtown

It was a family (of 4) vacation for 11 nights. Stayed in a two bedroom suite on the 15th floor and the view of downtown Calgary was amazing. Hotel is pretty quiet and close to virtually all you will need from shopping, restaurants, grocery stores etc....all within walkable distances. Hotel also served free breakfast. My only drawback is that there was only one bathroom/toilet for a two bedroom suite, other than that....our stay was memorable.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. We had 5 people, 2 children under three and 3 adults. It was accommodating. Enough room to sleep 6 adults. We requested a crib and they provided one( a playpen). It worked perfectly for our 2 year old. We took advantage of the full kitchen. And the complimentary breakfast was an added plus. Only complaints from my dad were, the doors stuck in the bedrooms, the furniture was stained, and the shower curtain was worn out. That being said. My family of 4 had a very comfortable stay and liked having the extra room for my 2 year old to run around in. We were close to the zoo and a grocery store. Location was perfect for us. We would stay again if we.go back to Calgary. Staff was very friendly and helpful

The staff were very professional, friendly and super helpful. We did not meet any staff who wasn't ready to listen and help. However, the carpet in the room was very dirty. It was so dirty we couldn't allow our baby to play on it. The carpet smelled so bad I had to go to a grocery store down the street to get air fresheners so we could sleep better. I noticed the same about the carpet in the hallway of our floor, too. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Perfect location to rest for an early appointment in the morning. Staff was helpful, friendly at check in. Unit is spacious and clean and nicely suited for our family of 4.

We had a 2-bedroom suite and we totally were in love with the mattresses. Super comfortable. We appreciate having a kitchenette and a dining table. The pipe from the common bathroom did sound a bit loud though such that it woke us up when a family member used the toilet in early morning.

This Best Western is budget and family friendly. The furnishings and decor are quite tired and the ongoing renovation should address these deficiencies. However the beds were fresh and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and soaps. We will definitely stay again. The free breakfast was a nice start to the day.

I stay in Calgary twice a month as I have family in the mission area so this hotel is very convenient. The rooms I usually stay in here or am usually assigned have been very good to excellent. Very roomy, comfortable beds, and updated amenities. This time I brought my young kids and they assigned me to an older room. Still good quality but not as pleasant as I’ve expected on my previous visits. The breakfast is decent, very basic, but good. The breakfast attendant was very busy.

Very loud at night time but I guess it makes sense we’re downtown Calgary. Atleast my children could sleep through it.

We flew into Calgary from NY and checked into BW Suites Calgary Downtown at around midnight on August 6th 2023. We had reserved the 2 bedroom suite for 3 nights Upon disembarking from the elevators, our experience started going south due to the very dated carpet and wall paper. Entering the 2 bedroom suite left us speechless - it felt as if we had stepped into a bad version of the 1980s with every item in the suite screaming for immediate replacement. The carpet, tiling, curtains, air conditioning, bedding, duvets, furniture ALL are in very poor condition and the suite and entire floor was reeking of cooking smell - an indication of poor exhausts. I immediately called up and spoke to Anna to file a complaint and to immediately leave the hotel the next day. Had my family and I not been exhausted from our 8 hour journey into Calgary, we would have immediately left Despite communicating the above experience to Anna and to your lobby manager the next morning, I was shocked that they had ALREADY charged my credit card CAD 241.98. The lobby managers feedback on my nightmare of an experience was that the larger suites were being redeveloped. If so, the hotel should simply stop scamming customers marketing a superior experience and charging for it when all you are providing is a terribly horrendous experience. I shall be sharing my experience (especially given that your hotel took absolutely no remedial steps to address the concerns) with the appropriate social media channels
