Overall our experience was great. Things that I wanted to point out for improvement are: 1) no microwave in the room - very important especially for those travelling with kids 2) switch of study lamp (located on top of table) is same with the light of entire room. you cannot move it either because the wire is screwed on the wall. so difficult to keep kids undisturbed from sleep and do your paper work at night. the night lamp at the head of bed is not that bright. not helpful for reading. i need to stay at the sink beside the bathroom to study. 3) kids enjoyed the pool but space is limited due to swimming lessons ongoing almost the entire afternoon. you can also see the whole pool from the dining area. Staff were excellent, cleanliness and breakfast great. Thank you.

This hotel doesn't seem like it's very old, but was quite dinged up. The weekend we were there seemed busy with kids hockey teams. I will say the people were quite nice that worked at the front desk. The breakfast was decent and was included. I just felt that the vibe wasn't for me. Almost felt hostel like.

It's my first time trying Marriott Hotel Group before my family exclusively been using IHG - Holiday INN. Your awesome receptionist (I forgot to ask her name) and she was amazing. I walk inn Thurs, Feb 15 around 5:30 pm to 7pm. She was welcoming and she took care of me. She told me about free breakfast, swimming pool, gym 24h, free water refill, restaurant/bar, convenient store, register account and points Marriott hotel; and answered questions- about spa. She make sure I'm satisfied about my room and good customer service. The place feel safe even train, room complete of everything, everything is clean, and a lot of things to do here.

The meals were excellent, the convenience to the stadium was awesome as well as location to the #1 highway. The pool was murky and always occupied by instructors teaching kids to swim.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! We were at the pool around at 345pm. Around 355pm I noticed a mom and her daughter and other of the same getting their daughters ready to swim but they did not enter the pool. Around 4pm a female and male swim instructor entered the pool with each of these daughters for 1 on 1 private swim lessons I was told after. This forced me and my 3 kids out of the pool as the pool was now being used for swim lessons. I called the manager and they knew all about about it and assured me they would only use half the pool. This was not the case as we went back and were unable to swim as again the whole pool was being used. If this is going to happen then some notice prior to booking should be given. The pool and location were the main reasons we booked this place and if I had known we would have no access to the pool I would have booked elsewhere. Very poor service from the front desk and manager as if we weren't paying customers and this event was more less swept under the rug. Upon check in I was asked to give a damage deposit, for sure that's fair as I know it is for incidentals. I was told the range would be between $50-200 and it is random when they go to charge the card. I found this quite strange. I told the man I can do $50 and that is it and then all of a sudden he said okay no problem I will just charge you 50, so where did the random between $50-200 go? I still have not got my $50 deposit back and was promised $40 off my room stay each night and nothing.

Nothing short of amazing! We stayed here for about 3 weeks as we sold our home and had a transition period. They staff was absolutely amazing from the front desk to the breakfast attendants. They were absolutely amazing and truly made this feel like home for us and our kids. The breakfast was great with a good selection and always replenished. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping did an incredible job ensuring it stayed that way during our visit. The pool area was great and felt like you were on a vacation, plus the water was nice and warm. The restaurant had amazing food and drinks. Even the management would greet you with a friendly hello and how was your day! Pantry fully stocked with whatever you may want or could have possibly forgotten. Amazing gym that had a view of the pool. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for somewhere they can trust to stay. Beautiful bathrooms that housekeeping kept spotless! Like I said before nothing short of amazing! Thank you to all the Aloft staff for making it an easier transition for me and my family. Thank you for being our home for the three weeks. It's truly meant so much! We will be seeing you again I'm sure.

Aloft if an amazing hotel close to everything by the Banff trail LRT which is right epitome your door. One stop from UOfC, amazing lounge and has a very hip feel. The breakfast is the best I have seen at any hotel. The girls who do the breakfast are amazing. The lounge/ restaurant staff are amazing. The menu is amazing with specials for dinner every night. The pool area is very clean, relaxing, makes u feel like you’re at a resort. Pool isn’t huge but is so clean and nice and warm. Nice big lounge chairs to read a book or enjoy time with friends and family.

Great place to stay with my family, if ever get the chance will come back. Rooms are amazing, clean and comfortable. Property is great. We waited over an hour for our food at the restaurant but it was worth the wait. Everything was excellent and delicious

The pool was decent when it wasn’t teeming w/ kids having swimming lessons. It was also pretty clean. Almost all of the staff were terrible. Other guests crowding the entrance smoking constantly w/ the smell creeping into the lobby, but overpowered by the terrible lobby smell. The breakfast is absolutely disgusting. Skip it! The only good thing about it was decent coffee. Next stay I’ll find another option.

Rooms was comfy and cozy. Clean room, hallways, elevator, pool area. Rare getaway without kids and this was just what we needed. Location was terrific as we needed to be close to extended family. Only downfall was the price of drinks/food in the lounge. However, the hotel is close to local pubs and eateries so we were able to enjoy the game without spending a small fortune on drinks and appy's.
