Rundlestone Lodge

I have to honestly say I was duped be Expedia’s pricing with regards to this hotel- it was a great deal for me and my kids on pictures but when we came to- the pool (the whole reason why we booked this hotel in the first place)- it was completely covered up and under construction- with only the hot tub opened. The restaurant was non existent and the rest of the hotel looked from the 80’s on the inside. With the amount of money that each family pays per night in Banff- and with the vast options of updated hotels, I would not book this one again. I had high hopes and was really looking forward to our stay here, but me and my kids were all very disappointed.

Will stay here again if I’m in Banff. My family and I enjoyed our stay. The pool was closed for maintenance on our stay which was their downfall

Our family enjoyed our stay. It was excellent.

Overall great stay with the family. The bus tickets were a bonus! Sadly our vehicle didn’t fit in the parkade but options were available. Pool was closed with a drive to available options I can’t wait to see new pool.

Staff upon check in was friendly and informative. Toilet in room did not work, called service, he came to fix but couldn’t, so said he’d come back. We left for the day, came back late at night and was still not fixed. Front desk staff checked maintenance notes and it said he fixed it, but it was actually worse. We had to switch rooms which was great they solved the problem but it was late and with kids needing to sleep. We were moving to another room. Not awesome, but the room we were moved to was larger. Very dated rooms, and not sparkling clean, but for an older hotel it was ok.

The Rundlestone was a good value for the price. There was plenty of underground parking and the kids enjoyed the pool.

An overall pretty pleasant stay! We booked a room with the jet spa tub and 1 king bed. The cleanliness of the room could be improved, there were odd stains on the carpet next to the bed that looked white and sticky, red stains on the curtains, leftover bottles in the fridge, and some hairs on the sheets and towels which detracted from the overall stay. But the front staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and the rest of the hotel was clean and inviting. The pool area is clean and is a nice option for the kids. Parking is easy, underground, and free, which is a huge bonus for avoiding those Banff parking fees. An overall nice stay, at a very reasonable price!
