Property Seemed tired! Wasn’t able to get either heat or air conditioning in our room which was room 226. Felt that the hotel was overpriced. Would not recommend it to family or friends. 😞

Was a clean and decent room. Easy commute. Nice to have parking available. A bit outdated. But the restaurant was good for breakfast and family friendly.

The bedrooms were clearly recently renovated, clean, and pleasantly done. The amenities were sorely lacking. The exercise 'area' consisted of a nook in the same room as the hot tubs and steam room, with equipment from a 1980s Richard Simmons workout video. So while biking on a rickety structure in a chlorine-fumed 35 degree basement was a novel experience, I wouldn't repeat it. Hot tubs were dirty and old. Steam room was pleasant and looked new/clean. If you don't care about amenities, then this place was great. Our family likes a workout and hot tub at the end of the day, and $350/night wasn't worthwhile. If the hotel renovates the rest of its stuff, we'll stay again.

I was very disappointed in my stay. I had a room that opened into the Atrium which would have been nice if it wasn’t full of very loud people until quite late. Add in the loud kids from a sports team running up and down the hallways and the noise level was unbearable. The room wasn’t very clean either with stains on the duvet and towels, a dirty toilet and pieces of plaster missing from the ceiling. Staff was really great and understanding but the best I was offered was for them to talk to the people if they were noisy past the quiet hour timeline. Have stayed here before but won’t stay again.

The oversized parking was too tight so we had to park out front. We had to call the front desk for noise in the internal courtyard and were assured the kids playing hockey would be asked to stop at 22:00 hours. This did not happen. Other than those things the room was clean, food at the lounge was good ( restaurant wasn’t open)

Our family has been visiting Banff for many years and I have to say that our recent stay at the Ptarmigan was excellent. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location and our room was newly updated and well appointed. We stayed as a family of four and we very pleased with our stay.

Very noise. No sound buffer from the corridor and the rooms. We could hear the kids yelling and running around.

Our stay as always was fantastic, we did have to call front desk to ask them to get the hockey kids to settle down as they were very loud banging hockey sticks on floor of the auditorium. We know it wasn’t 11pm quiet time but we did call at 10pm to see if we could get them to be quiet as our room was right above the auditorium. We love Banff and we stay at the Ptarmingan almost everytime we come down.

Fantastic service all around and cleaning staff even tucked in stuffies into sleeping bags for our kiddos. Amenities were in good shape and clean. Would happily stay here again.

I got two rooms for my family and both were clean, neat and smell was okay. Amenities were in placed, and appliances worked. Spacious enough for 4 people with average height, and reasonable quantity of luggage. Bed was comfortable.
