Hyatt Place Milwaukee West

I stayed there Memorial Day weekend and the pool was not working. One of the reason we choose this place was for the kids to go swimming. Also the air conditioning was not working in the room. When I was the manager she told me she could not do anything as I booked with a 3rd party and I would have to contact them for any time of credit.

Staff was good. Breakfast was great but we not not notified that that pool was closed so there was there was nothing to do for kids. Main reason we picked this hotel was because of the pool.

I read several great reviews about how this is a family friendly great place to stay and I am extremely disappointed. This hotel was filthy, and unkept. The floor all over was sticky and the carpet was dirty. The room next to ours had left their dishes out for 24 hours until someone picked them up. We ran out of towels in the pool and our room. The bathroom was also very dirty, stains on the ceiling and the area around the toilet was very dirty. The mirror had clearly not been cleaned recently. On a positive, the shower had good pressure. Breakfast had little variety and was a dirty area with people who seemed annoyed to do their job. Needless to say, I’ve never been more excited to pack up and head back to my house.

The staff was unfriendly. I am not sure if any staff member has the ability to smile. We stayed for 4 days. and I had to continually request our room be cleaned and ask for new towels. My husband had to take the trash out the first 2 nights. I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years this was ridiculous! Especially for the price we payed. No restitution was offered. Additionally, on Expedia it stated there was a restaurant and bar on the premises. There was none. It stated a free newspaper daily. There was none. It said smoke free facilities. There was an employee that smoked in the only outside seating area daily so we would leave. My family will not be staying in this chain again. Furthermore, this is the first time I’ve used Expedia and will most likely be my last. Extremely dissatisfied!

We booked the hotel due to having on site parking, breakfast, and a pool. We traveled with our two children and the pool was the perfect size for them. The rooms were clean and fully stocked. Great accommodations. But our favorite part was the breakfast, they have by far one of the best breakfast that we’ve had a hotel. The attendants were fantastic and had hot food out timely and we’re running their butts off. When we visit Milwaukee again we’ll absolutely be staying here!

We stayed here for three nights for a family reunion in the area. I have stayed at quite a few hotels in my 40 years and this was the worst experience of my life. The beds were full size so my husband and I didn't even sleep in the same bed. The toilet barely flushed and constantly clogged. I started using the lobby toilet just to pee because it was such a pain. Asked for fresh towels and our garbage to be emptied after day 2 and they did nothing. Not surprising considering the staff was on the phones or socializing every time we were in the lobby. Even the maids were just standing around in the hallway chatting. The breakfast was sparse and didn't get replenished often because there was only one girl working, although she was very nice and was actually working. We have four young kids and there was only one kids channel and the last night the tv didn't work at all. Like no channels, no connection nothing. The room furniture, especially in the bathroom is really worn out. The tub didn't plug correctly so bathing the kids was fun. Never again. We will gladly pay more next year to stay literally anywhere else.

I like the gentleman at the front desk making great drinks. I also like how the lady wrote down what was wrong with my room but didn't really like that no one came around and apologize for it there was finger marks on the window baby's and adult size also on the end table of the bed there was sticky circle part otherwise need was comfy

Clean. Easy check in. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Lots of space in the room for my family.

Most of the staff was really friendly except one lady working the front desk seemed to have a attitude or lack of manners. Our room was missing power outlet cover and plastic vent gaurd on AC heating unit was MIA. Basically a few SAFTEY issues, luckily we weren't traveling with kids. The hotel has onsite security if that tells you anything about the area. Hotel looks like it's been partied in pretty hard by how furniture was looking beat up and sticky spots on carpet.
