Hotel Morgan a Wyndham Hotel

This is a beautiful older hotel in downtown Morgantown. The rooms are very nicely appointed; my impression is that the hotel has recently been renovated. We’ve stayed here before and this time the facility was much improved. The area around the hotel is rather run down and not very appealing. I chose this hotel and location due to its proximity to my daughter and her family. On this visit I did not use any amenities except for the free coffee service in the lobby in the early mornings. The front desk staff seemed put out by my arrival and at my check out. There was also a wedding party on the Sunday evening before the Memorial Day holiday that played loud music late into the evening that could be very easily heard in my 3rd floor room. My call to the front desk to inquire about limiting the music volume was poorly received and ignored. I’ll probably look for a different accommodation on my next visit to Morgantown.

Our family enjoyed our short stay. Due to traffic delays and construction detours, we expectantly were rerouted through Morgantown. Cleanliness is the biggest issue for us, but we liked the retro-finishes and renovations. Rooms were warm and inviting.
