Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place

Came to town to visit family and wanted to see this impressive hotel that was built just before we moved away. We didn’t really take advantage of all the amenities, but it is modern and comfortable and the bar/restaurant staff are great. There was some small, occasional ticking sound near the entrance of our room that seemed to be caused by vibration in the walls, and there isn’t an option for less lighting in the bathroom. Overall, though, it was one of the best hotel stays we’ve experienced!

The hotel was very nice my only complaint was that we booked a double queen and were given a king suite… which normally wouldn’t be a problem but we were there for a cheer competition and it was me and another mom with our kids.. we kinda needed the other bed when we called they gave us nothing other then that the room we were given was more expensive then our originally booked room but that did not help the fact that we needed two bed it was ver un comfortable for a $250 room

No access to jacuzzi. 30 plus of kids in it. Overcharge on my booking by $100 for "incentives."

We only stayed one night for a quick trip to see family. The hotel was lovely. Check in and check out so easy! Had the best cup of coffee in my life from Starbuck’s! I was there when it opened! The only suggestion I have is to have wheelchair access from the guest parking garage to the main lobby of the hotel. My Grand Niece had a hard time with her crunches and sprained ankle. Of course, I should have thought to let her out up front, but I did not realize how far she would have to walk. All in all, a great place to stay and an ideal location.

Stopped here with our family. The online reviews were positive and this hotel had a pool. Hotel staff was friendly and super helpful. No valet - but parking was available for $12 behind the hotel. Pool was big but not heated. The kids used the hot tub to warm up. Pool did look a bit green and needed a clean.. it’s an older pool - so some rust and such. It’s in the basement of the hotel. Rooms are new and very spacious. The beds were ok. Not the most comfortable, but we got a decent sleep. Shampoo and soaps were stocked in the shower in a refillable container. Our conditioner was out.. a bit annoying especially after a pool swim ;) In lobby Starbucks was a nice treat. Staff there was also great. Choose that instead of the hotel breakfast. We did eat at the restaurant Bourbon Prime. Food was excellent. Shout out to Kevin for his helpful checkin and getting all our requests taken care of (pack n play, extra pillows, sofa bed bedding..) Our last minute booking was $160 CND… so it was a great deal.

We got the second room at the last minutes, but when we checked in, they gave us connected rooms so that we are next to our kids. Great service!

Booked One king with Sofa bed ( confirmed with email as well) BUT front desk said it showed Two queen beds only. Due to the Bio conference, no more other rooms available. We have kids and the only reason we chose this hotel which is way off the highway, not convenient location for traveling) is because it is the only decent hotel we can find which has a king bed with sofa bed. Will NOT come back to this hotel again. Disappointed in Hotels.com for confirming the king room. The floor and the regular sofa here are dirty.

Management seemed very engaged when I was discussing child screaming in next room. This was not the Marriotts fault and won’t stop us from staying there again, but we will call the front desk next time there are ongoing issues

This hotel was amazing! The staff was helpful, rooms were clean, and plenty big enough for a family of 5 to hangout in. Checkout was very simple.
