Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Richmond Airport

So...this hotel is decent with some minor issues that may be major for some. First the location, if you need the airport it is close and they have shuttle service, if you dont the area is not the greatest, its a bit run down and sketchy in certain areas, it is conveniently located near a 7-11, and some fast food places but again its not the best. The main front end attendant was super nice and down to earth, it was a bit inconvenient that she was taking a shuttle out and no one could check us in until she got back which took 15 minutes, ive never experienced this before at any hotel, especially after a 10 hour drive from Florida with a family of six at 9pm at night, it was not the best start to our stay, the bar tender who let us know we had to wait was nice enough and was doing her best to just help as she could, but not having at least 2 people to check in arrivals so there is always someone there or a dedicated driver, shouldn't really happen, at least in my opinion, i could be wrong. When the lady arrived, she was great and very helpful. My kids wanted to do a quick late night swim after the long drive and we had an hour to do it before the pool closed, but the pool did not look the cleanest, hotel pools are always a bit suspect but this one just didnt look clean enough for me to let my kids go in, it was a bit on the green side, not clear, with foam on the top, the room was just fine, good AC, nice bathroom, beds and amenities, it was good for our needs.

My family and I had a great stay there! We will choose Fairfield more when we travel

Booked a two night stay with my two kids and my only complaint would be not having enough towels. Our room only had two towels and it wasn't noticed until after both my kids showered, I called down the the desk to ask for another one, and they said they didn't have any more to give me. If I book for three people, I at least expect three towels for the money I paid.

We stay often at Fairfield Inn and Suites. Last night we were awoken at 1100pm to a raging room party right next door. We called the desk and within 30 minutes it quieted down as the party moved to the end of our hall. Glad this visit we didn’t have grandkids with us.

Wonderful front desk staff, very helpful and friendly. My children loved the coloring sheets. Very roomy for family of 5. Really helpful airport shuttle staff. Super easy quick breakfast available. Very very clean. Highly recommend this hotel.

Overall it was a really good stay. Breakfast was included and there were a lot of good options and decent food. The hotel was clean and neat. Checking in was easy and they were friendly. The only two things we disliked were their lack of extra pillows and comfort sleeping on the couch bed. We’re a family of 5, so we chose to stay there due to the accommodations with the multiple beds. (They did provide extra blankets within minutes of us asking). The couch bed was not comfortable and with only one pillow per person, it made it a bit worse.

The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. They were accommodating to my children and even gave them coloring sheets. I’ll be staying here on all my stays in the RVA area.

It’s a pretty nice hotel. It’s right by the airport, for anyone traveling via air, but not much in the immediate vicinity for those in a car, so you’re going to have to drive a little for the sightseeing experience or getting to the shops, which was fine for me, as I liked the price best. The front desk staff were friendly and the lobby, halls, elevators, and room were very clean. There were a few places in the room where the wallpaper was peeling back or “unsightly,” but that didn’t affect the quality of my stay. I would stay here again and will be on my next visit to Richmond, this time for longer. I wish I could post better photos of the room, but my kids were in those pictures. It’s a nice hotel, especially for the price.
