Candlewood Suites Richmond Airport, an IHG Hotel

The room was nice, however, everything from the parking lot to the room was dicey! Cops were at the hotel numerous time, and not for traffic stops. Smelled like nothing but weed and smoke around the building. I would not recommend families come through here, unless you're coming to meet your dealer... perfect for that.

Travelled with my family. Front desk did not inform us that the elevator was out of order - we had to carry our luggages to the third floor. There was a cockroach crawling in the bathroom

My family and I needed rest before a flight and the hotel was safe, convenient, and friendly staff. However, the air condition wasn’t working properly. The young employee moved us to a different room, but unfortunately was the same issue; the air conditioner wouldn’t stop. We were very cold but since we getting up at 2:00 AM there was no point in moving again and decided to rest for at least a few hours before we left.

All of the staff were friendly and understanding. I did have an issue with billing. I was charged again at the hotel for my stay even though I purchased through hotels.com. The front desk clerk said she didn’t see any authorizations and in order to stay in my same room with my new reservation with an additional night I would need to pay. I’m still waiting on this issue to be resolved. The only other issue was there was no hand towels and sheets were not changed when requested because my son had vomited on them (baby spit up).

When I arrived the person at the front desk couldn’t find my and several other customers reservation. They said the reservations had been kicked out that morning but the didn’t call anyone to inform them. The hotel was over booked for the day and they ended up putting us in a room that hadn’t been cleaned. I understood that they were just trying to get us in so I didn’t mind that. I booked for two nights and paid for two nights. But some random employee checked me out in the middle of the night and they tried to make me pay for an additional day and the fee was way more than what I paid the day before. Someone almost walked into my room around midnight with my sleeping toddler and I. Like the door unlocked and opened but luckily I used the door guard as well. This place is very shady and I was very unsatisfied.

Did not have the suites we reserved have us regular rooms had reserved suites as traveling with small children. Not cool not to get what paid for

This place is average. The room is so dirty. The sink was filled with food, the drain did not work, there were baby roaches in the bed, even though the bed looked clean it was very skeptical. The bath tub was so dirty.
