Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Conference Ctr

Hotel Madison charged us twice for our one night stay. I had pre-paid through hotels.com. They charged me again upon check-in after incidental card on file (which was supposed to be $50). It was human error according to one staff member while the supervisor said it was due to hotels.com not wanting to pay taxes which made NO sense and has never happened in my VARIOUS stays through hotels.com. I left my number for the manager to call me back. He never did. While I did get my $350 returned to me it was an inconvenience and unnecessary hassle on kid's graduation day. The room was just ok. Nothing special. Best part was coffee from Grace and Main.

We had a wonderful stay. My children are young and it was the perfect stay for us. Very clean, great restaurant inside, amazing staff. We will be staying again.

no sofa in the room, a lot of dust on coffemaker. no free breakfast. bathroom door is not good, easy to off, almost hurt my kids.

Rented 3 rooms for a family event for a single night. In the morning we discovered that there was no hot water. At check out, the hotel staff admitted that they were aware of the issue and that it been occurring for more that a week. Very surprising that a hotel of this caliber would not warn their guest of the issue or offer a discounted rate.

First time staying at the Hotel Madison and it was a great experience. We stayed on the weekend when JMU football team had a home game. Lots of JMU alumni and families at the hotel, which made it busy, but not overcrowded. The entire hotel was well kept, our room was both spacious and clean. Parking garage is attached to the hotel @ $15 per night. The hotel Montpellier restaurant had very good dinner options and a full breakfast buffet. Hotel staff was great and personable. We had a problem with the wifi connection, but hotel IT quickly fixed the problem. Hotel rates were around $300

Convenient for when we had to move in child to JMU

This hotel is a great place to stay. Amenities are fantastic and the service is great. Very convenient to JMU and Harrisonburg's vibrant downtown. Perfect for a family and a business traveler.

I didn’t have comforter or. Duvet just a sheet and a mattress cover called didn’t get linens and didn’t clean my room nightly so was without towels ….. worst hotel I’ve stayed at and was upset because was out of town for a family wedding also my room was not upgraded like I paid for it was a standard 2 queen room when it was supposed to be a 2 bed queen suite room with a large upgraded room layout….. and since hotel was fully booked for the weekend I could not change rooms worst hotel poor service and not conference worthy…. Also no one would answer the phone or help if needed bags on checking out brought down had to do everything myself and I was without my husband and had my 2 kids under 5 with me …. Not happy plus was charged for things and no one went over the additional charges added to my account they just charged it

It was a wonderful experience. Very friendly. All areas were very clean. Liked having a nice restaurant in the hotel. Enjoyed the coffee shop. Would recommend to family and friends.
