The overwhelming number of positive reviews with zero negative ones? Not suspicious at all. It’s almost as if this place is flawless—but surprise, it’s far from it. The hotel is located right off a noisy highway, and the massive parking lot across the street caters to truckers. So, unless you find engine rumbles soothing, expect a restless night. Upon arrival, we waited 15 minutes for the concierge to show up. Imagine arriving with tired kids, only to be greeted by empty stares and a front desk proudly displaying a lineup of liquor bottles. Nothing says “family-friendly” quite like booze at the entrance. Even my kids asked why there was so much alcohol around. It’s clear this hotel wasn’t designed with families in mind. Once in the room, the loud AC made it impossible to sleep, but turning it off made the room stuffy. I ended up using pillows to muffle the sound—desperate times call for desperate measures, right? The breakfast was just as underwhelming, with food tasting artificial and bland. The omelets and pancakes were fake, and the juice tasted like watered-down syrup. Seeing Lavazza coffee initially raised my hopes, but the diluted brew was disappointing and just dulled my mood further. The only positive? The place was clean. But that alone doesn’t make up for the poor experience. If you value sleep, good food, or any semblance of hospitality, steer clear. Trust me—those overly glowing reviews are hiding some major red flags.

We were excited to find a Tru hotel because we have stayed with them in other locations. The shower had black mold around the border and the floor was so dirty I kept my shoes on. We has loud neighbors and kids running up and down the hall and slamming doors until midnight.

This was a convenient, clean, and safe hotel. Everything was immaculate, the staff was friendly, and I felt safe traveling with my small children. There are a lot of restaurants right up the road, and the breakfast in the morning was great as well. Highly recommend!

The stay was good, BUT because we booked through a third party (Hotels.com) we weren't given the king room we requested. We ended up with two queens. We arrived late after a family party and I realized there was no ice bucket or coffee maker in the room, so I Googled information about Tru and found that Tru hotels didn't put them in rooms, so I thought they weren't available. I didn't know until the next morning that I could have gotten ice and water near the gym area (I didn't see it during check in). It would be nice to have some information in the room about the amenities or if the front desk had told me at check-in. Next time I'll know. I liked the hotel a lot and would stay again! They had a small pool table in the lobby and some comfortable seating that I noticed at the free breakfast after our stay.

I'm a bit of a conservation nerd, and this property made me very happy in that there weren't multiple trashcans with trash bags...there was a bag if I needed it. The accommodations in the room were not elaborate...which I loved. Hard surface floors made me feel like it was cleaner than a carpeted floor. And I easily found a water bottle refill station. And for folks with families, there was a great gathering spot downstairs with games and food. I'm a new fan of Tru!

We arrived at 9pm and of course check in was quick. The front desk suggested the local pizzeria which was excellent, they were also very friendly and informative of their services. This will now become our go to when we drive home from down south. I see people complaining about room sizes but if you are only there to sleep, it was the perfect size and very lean and comfortable. This hotel will be suggested to friends and family alike.

Overall it was nice. Breakfast was great and rooms were clean. Seems like the employees are all very nice and sweet but certain things were not really accessible as family members of employees were using them for themselves. We wanted to use the gym but the kids of some employee were all in it. It’s a small space so we waited but did not end up going as they were there for awhile. Same with pool table , the girls were sweethearts but not sure why the family were occupying the lobby completely. Again, they were really sweet and we will consider going again for sure but this was a little odd . Mind you , theses little girls played pool with us and were polite . Just not sure what that was. Perhaps the hotel is owned by that family and they live there too. Very nice people overall.
