SpringHill Suites by Marriott Richmond North/Glen Allen

I booked the place and paid for the room one month before my stay. When I got there, I was told they were overbooked and didn’t have any room for me. My family and I were forced to looked for another place with no help on their end. No notifications were sent before our arrival. We were very disappointed.

Our room had several mishaps. First, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. I did not sleep at all. Second, the TV in one of our rooms broke and slowed up our movie night we planned for the children. They didn't come until hours later to fix it. They left all our personal belongings that was on the TV stand on the floor. The water pressure in the rooms were horrible. Denise from the front desk was nice and willing to give us a night for free, but could not because we booked through hotels.com. I will be contacting them for accommodations.

This hotel does not offer a separate bedroom. It is referred to as a separate bedroom but there is no door and it’s one of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever been in. Everything is in one room. I would not really if traveling with teenage children.

Dirty room, filthy bedding set, and shouldn't be part of Marriott family of hotels. The breakfast is disgusting and did not have any water.

From check in to check out it was amazing. Great staff. The room was huge and clean. Enjoyed the pool, fitness area and 24 hr market. Breakfast in the morning. An awesome hotel. Would stay here again. My kids are still talking about it!

The room was a bit dingy and the air unbelievably dry and uncomfortable. We could hear kids running in the halls late into the night though I suppose that is not the hotels fault. The pool was empty. The staff was friendly and kind. The breakfast was varied and hot. I’m not sure it was worth the price but I guess for the area it’s pretty good.

It was great for families and staff was very kind. we will be back!

We went for our daughter 14th birthday, kids running around the hotel unsupervised, playing on elevators and throwing footballs in small pool. Caused our daughter and her friends to leave area early. No parental guides anywhere.

Clean, good location, good breakfast and coffee is good. We will stay again on our next visit to family.

When checking in, I was informed that the last double room was given away just minutes before my arrival. I had mindfully reserved a double room with a pull-out sofa bed because we were traveling with our teenage boys. The front desk gentleman was very polite as he informed me "there's nothing I can do and I can't give you the answer as to why this happened". We had no option but to figure out accommodations for a family of four in a king size room with a pull-out coach- which was a twin size bed. The pull-out bed had obvious stains, we had to ask for extra bedding because there was none in the room. Our room was dirty, the shade torn, stains on the tables, dusty lampshades. We were scheduled to leave in the early morning, so we made the best of it. The next day I met with Taylor who greeted me at the front desk. Taylor was extremely friendly, professional and listened attentively to my concerns. Taylor was very helpful and gave great customer service. I wouldn't return to this location again but would ask Management to appreciate Taylor as she is a great employee.
