Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salt Lake City Bountiful, an IHG Hotel

We called ahead to ask if we could come 1 hour earlier, even if it was just for 1 room. We had booked four rooms for a wedding, we were told no problem. Upon arrival we asked for the same floor for rooms as we had younger kids needed to be tended by other adults. Only 1 room was available, followed by our family waiting in the entrance for the other 3 rooms to be available which was well after check-in and on 3 different floors.

They’re a good chain hotel and consistent and their beds are excellent. But. Please ditch all the plastic utensils. Bad for the environment and who wants to eat breakfast off a cardboard plate with plastic utensils. We’re not 5 year olds at a kids party. Get a dishwasher and give some more people jobs.

The staff at this property was amazing! Friendly, helpful. We were relatively high need guests, with a change in rooms over our stay, early check in and late check out, and a bunch of other potential annoyances. The staff smiled, was incredibly friendly, and made us feel like family. I was concerned about freeway noise, but our sound machine drown that out. Fan mode in the heating cooling unit would have also done the trick. Love the east facing mountain views in the morning. And breakfast had enough options to keep everyone happy. We will definitely stay here again!

Close to interstate and road ways which was extremely noisy until after midnight. Also guests allowed children to run up and down hallways and elevators until early hours of the morning. Ridiculous!!! Some type of quiet hours should be set.

This property was not great. TVs did not connect to anything so I couldn’t distract the older kids to get the baby to sleep. No sheets to cover the pull out bed, and I called to get someone to get us those and tv help, and nobody came. Hairball in one of the drawers, water tasted moldy, floor was sticky (both hard floor and carpeted), and there was someone smoking weed outside our room. I felt unsafe, unclean, and angry that I paid $400 for two nights. I tried cancelling the second night but they wouldn’t refund me, so I left without staying the second night, and will never be returning ever again. The staff was okay, but I wish they would have helped us out more. Stick to trusted Airbnb or the higher quality hotels I guess, live and learn!

It was a nice clean room. Staff was friendly & helpful. Liked the fact they had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, handwash & lotion available in the room and not the little travel bottles! That was great! I disliked the noise. You can hear the kids running around, people talking,doors slamming also traffic from the side road was pretty loud. Turn up your fan to eliminate the noise if you stay here. Also housekeeping was vacuuming at 8am! How annoying we was still sleeping!! Had a late night and they wanna be vacuuming. Smh!

Very nice for families.

Room was not clean! There was blood on my bathroom floor and hair all over my bedding! On the comforter and the sheets. I know housekeeping didn’t change the bedding or mop before I checked in, so what else was not done? I didn’t have a phone in my room so I went to the front desk and asked for new bedding and some cleaner and I’d take care of both. I was told housekeeping would be right there to clean the room. I went to a family members room and remembered the tv in the bedroom wasn’t working. It kept saying “no signal” so I called the front desk from their room and asked if that could be fixed as well. I was told that both tv’s don’t work because the cable company can’t split the cable between the 2 areas of the suite. I hung up and called my other family members that had rooms like mine. All of their tv’s worked just fine? I went to the front desk to confront the person because he had outright lied! I told him I wanted a new room that was clean and had the amenities I paid for. He was good and down graded my room type. I went to my old room to get my things and saw that housekeeping had been but she changed the comforter and that’s it. Blood still on the floor! My new room had curtains that were broke and wouldn’t open & when I stripped the bedding before I left, the mattress pad had either coffee or per all over it! NEVER AGAIN!!

It was very family oriented

The room I booked was not what was given to me and they couldn’t accommodate us. I ended up having to pay for another room to accommodate my family size. The rooms felt stuffy and muggy and the air circulation was very poor in the rooms. The rooms were not set up to be accommodating. They felt very crowded. The front desk staff was nice. She tried to be helpful.
