Hampton Inn & Suites Houston/Clear Lake-Nasa Area

Would not recommend. The second night of us staying there, there was a LARGE roach in our room. Room wasn’t very clean. We paid/booked for a king bed and they gave us a double queen bed. When I asked about it they told us “oh sorry there’s nothing we can do”. Also during swimming with the kids, there were adults arguing and threatening each other and no one was at the desk to help de-escalate. We had to just leave the pool. The only good thing was the breakfast.

We could tell that it had been updated fairly recent. It was comfortable enough for my husband and I for a week’s stay. Staff were very friendly. We were greeted every time we walked in, whether it was early afternoon or after midnight some days. Housekeeping was kind of loud. And knocked on our door at 8:15 in the morning while we were still sleeping (on vacation and getaway so was not trying to be up early like I do getting kids to school lol) and you could hear them playing their music pretty loud and singing while cleaning the rooms around us. But we weren’t TOO bothered by that—I love a good jam while working too. 😂 the pool area was being repainted and such, so we didn’t get to use it, but we went to the beach anyhow. Overall it was a great stay and we don’t have any complaints. ☺️

We were in the area attending a wedding. Check in was at 3pm, which was the exact time of the wedding ceremony. We called ahead to see if we could check in a little bit early to arrive to the ceremony in time. We were told it depended on whether or not the room would be ready for us, but were encouraged to come in to see what could be done. Luckily, they did have our room ready a little early and we were able to get to the wedding. Check-in associate was very friendly and efficient. Room seemed to be decent, beds somewhat comfortable. Our only complaint was that room felt humid and the carpet seemed to be sticky. The pool was pretty small and the kids had no desire to use it.

The lady in front desk made us wait whike she was on the phone for 10 minutes. Breakfast-They were out of food 1 hr early and when asked for fruits or yogurt, they said they are out and didn’t fill. They did have much choice for kids. We hardly had any breakfast. Not worth it.

The 2 room suite was great for our family to stay in for the week. The kitchenette was just the right size. Staff was great and quickly addressed any issues we had. Wonderful stay.

The Facility was very clean and modern. It has a great breakfast with a very lovely attendant. The area is nice and has places to eat near by. Also, the Pool was great kiddos had fun. Only complaint was the blinds in the room didn't work and was not fixed when brought to the attention of the front desk.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, even when we had to extend our stay and when our child got sick in the middle of the night. Hotel was clean and comfortable. A great experience

This hotel is located in a very nice and safe area. There are many restaurants nearby and it is close to NASA and a short drive down to Galveston. Great location for our family on our trip.

Our family stayed here for spring break trip for 2 nights while visiting NASA. We originally booked through another hotel with hotels.com rewards points, but then when arriving at the other hotel found out that the hotel was overbooked. So hotels.com booked us for here. We usually LOVE Hampton Inns but they sometimes are more expensive than our budget allows. The rooms are always clean, staff professional and friendly and they have a killer breakfast. This hotel was not as clean as some we have stayed in. The staff seemed overwhelmed with the spring break crowd. When we checked in we were under the impression that we had 2 nights arranged from hotels.com due to the overbooking. Well while at NASA my husband got an email from Hampton telling us that another guest was checking in to our specific room for 2 months and that all of our stuff was packed up for us waiting at the front desk. What in the world?! Who does that?? We were not happy at all with this experience! When we got back from our day at NASA the front desk told us they called & left us messages but both my husband and myself had none on our phone, no missed calls. They couldn't tell us what number they tried. We got moved to the EXACT SAME room type we were kicked out of! So frustrating to have all of our stuff packed in trash bags to sort through like we were homeless people who had not paid for 2 nights! The next day the hotel manager apologized and added hilton points to our account. They tried.

Nice staff. Pretty nice breakfast. The design of the shower was goofy. It is an open walk in design with a plastic curtain and a poorly functioning cheap plastic removable handle showerhead that sprays in random directions . It is easy to saturate the floor and the room carpet. It explains why the room was musty and felt damp. I am sure the shower frequently gets the room carpet very wet. I was very careful not to let it spread but it required putting all the towels on the floor. Any careless guests or children are sure to make a huge mess. It just felt poorly designed and not thought out at all.
