Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Texarkana

Was a bit noisy. Could hear kids running around in adjoining rooms.

Laundry was broke down, icemaker did not work, no milk at the Continental breakfast. When you’re traveling across the country with your family, these things are important.

I stayed there ask the staff for a room check with my garbage and towels and toilet paper came back the night with my family the room was left the same and to make it worst i complained to the night person they said when i leave to celebrate my birthday on th evening of the 31st of December I'll come back and he will deal with it and when i came back it was the same way the morning staff left it i have always love staying to this hotel FAIRFIELD IN TEXARKANA TEXAS NOW I AM SECOND GUESSING

The room we booked through hotels.com does not exist at the hotel. Hotels.com listed multiple rooms and we chose the separate bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and a full/queen pull out couch so our kids had a space and we had a space. This room did not exist and we were given a normal 2 queen bed room with a twin pull out couch because what hotels.com listed does not exist there. My biggest frustration is that we paid more o. Your site for the bigger room and we should’ve just booked the cheaper normal room but didn’t know you were false advertising. Hotels.com has really gone down hill.

The staff were great, so I hate to leave a bad review. But I would hate for someone to book and have unmet expectations like we did. They do not have infant beds like the listing says. Staff said larger, more frequent areas get the amenities first. The sleeper sofas mattress was stained to the point I didn't feel comfortable with my children sleeping on it. My toddler ran around the room barefoot before bed and the bottoms of his feet were black and grimy. The last disappointment was the pool. My 4 year old wanted to stay in a hotel so that he could swim in the pool. Well, the manager stated they would not be able to open it all day because it needed to be cleaned. It had a film on the top of the water. Again, the staff were friendly but are just doing the best they can with what they have. We paid the same for this hotel as we could have the brand new ones across the interstate, but not being from the area, we weren't aware of the conditions.

Hotel Stay was great for me, wife, and 2 small furbabies!

The property was very good. It was very clean and well kept. The only complaint I would have is that the tub in the shower was very slick. There were no mat or non skid in the bottom of the tub. I almost fell while I was showering, and there was some mold in the calking between the wall & tub.

The people were great, the breakfast was fine, the room smelled almost overwhelmingly of cologne at first but that got better with time. The bed was comfortable, but MY GOSH THAT A/C was LOUD. Another family member stayed on a different floor and remarked the same. She said at least it mostly drowned out the storm.

This was the second stay in two weeks since I was visiting family, going on a cruise, and returning to visit family again. This hotel was a bit run down. It wasn't as clean as I'm used to for a Marriot property. The first stay had a torn curtain and a clogged tub along with lots of dust. The second stay had a broken light fixture in the bathroom and again lots of dust. Both times we were provided with one bath towel each for two grown adults which didn't dry between showers. We enjoyed the free breakfast but the person running the breakfast seemed disgruntled.
