Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Huntsville

It was a quick trip for a baby shower. The room was cozy, the bed was excellent. Everything was very clean. We stayed here before and it was great, so we came back and still great.

Upon arrival, did not have the room we requested via Expedia. Took 30 min for them to find a resolution for us and our kids Uber 3 years old. They said Expedia was supposed to contact us and never did. Paid $200 a night to have the employees not answer the phones when calling Front Desk. Also, two doors don’t work from outside of the pool so we had to walk all the way around. Over all disappointing experience.

The hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was sub par . Eggs were cold and sausage looked undercooked. Pictures online definitely mis-leading. Staff was not rude but not friendly either. I definitely will not recommend this hotel to family and friends.

This is a great place to stay. Every time we come to town from Austin we stay here. We were in town to visit a family member. It's very clean and quiet. The free breakfast is okay. Its not the best, but certainly isn't the worst. On our recent stay the elevator was out of order. I was called the day before to inform me of this. They happily booked me another room on the first floor so i didn't have to climb the stairs. The only issue i had with our recent stay was on the day we checked out the maid started knocking on our door around 10am to come clean the room. Checkout is at noon. The maid returned around 11am to see if we had left. I told her that checkout is at noon and we have until then to stay. We left our room shortly before noon. As we exited the room the maids were in an area directly across from our room, so i said "We are leaving NOW". I really didn't appreciate being rushed.

I stayed in this hotel a month ago and it was exceptional! Booked it again for parent weekend. This time it was for two nights. We were gone from the hotel from 7:15 a.m. and returned back around 4 p.m. The room had not been serviced. The dirty rags and towels had been taken but not all replaced. Just a couple of hand towels and a step out towel. Housekeeping was out in the hall in a room next to mine. I asked for towels and she had to get the towels she had just placed in the room she was working in. They did not have any rags and she didn’t know when they would. I was told to check downstairs later. First of all, I was paying a MUCH higher rate for this trip because it was family weekend at SHSU. The hotel was sold out. I’m guessing they are short staffed and that’s unfortunate and I know they are working hard. I just felt that at some point she should have seen to it that I got the towels and rags that I needed. Ended up using hand towels for wash rags. Other than that, I enjoy staying at this hotel and would stay again.
