Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Corpus Christi

I was very disappointed with the room. The restroom to start with had areas with no sealant between tub and tile as well as the sink. The refrigerator had oxidation on the outside and had a smell to it. As I moved the bed there was chips under the bed. Need ones to say with a toddler and an infant I had to disinfect EVERYTHING. The breakfast was not good. We mainly ate just cereal to say the least. The staff was super nice so that’s the only reason we felt comfortable

We had a very late check in! The front desk was so helpful and friendly. I will definitely have my family stay here again!

We rented two rooms for the family. One was correct. The second room we did not receive the style of room we paid extra for (2queen suite w/sofa) which left us sleeping on one cot instead of two sleeping on a sofa bed that we paid adt’l money for. Nancy was extremely rude about the whole room situation. Acting as if it was our fault for asking if our rooms could be on the same floor and that she did us a favor by putting us close together. But never mentioned that it was not the rooms we paid for and we needed for sleep space for teenage grandchildren. Nancy said that I still got a good deal on the room for booking early and if I had booked that day(spring break) it would be twice that amount. :( Everything went well, breakfast was good. Room appeared clean. We left early and on the way home we all started itching and realized we were covered in welped up bites 20-30 each person. Got back home and went to doctor to make sure it wasn’t an illness. and was told it defiantly looked like bed Bug bites. We called the hotel as a courtesy, And was questioned as to why we waited a day to call them.ancting as if we were not being honest. Again it’s our fault as opposed to customer service. They said someone would call us right back. no one has done so. Hindsight: Another room down the hall had all of the furniture outside in the hall covered with plastic. (Now presuming to be a bed bug issue. We originally just thought renovations. And covered to keep kids from climbing on it.

I will say we should think before booking the hotel. They are not transparent on their communication. My kid got injured in beach so we need to leave early without completing my stay. Hotel told as I booked from Expedia they will not be able to do any refunds only Expedia have that option. Now I connected Expedia and Expedia is not able to do any refund as hotel do not allow. I booked for 4 days stays there for 3 day. Hotel is average , with old furniture and gloomy rooms. But most unfortunate is their management and relationship with people's

Great clean room. Staff was super nice. Overall perfect place to stay for my family

We stayed for 5 nights and they cleaned our room after the 3rd night and we had to tell them 3 times if they could clean our room. We ask for towles everynight until they cleaned our room. The room i paid for was two queen beds but, the room i got was two double beds that could not hold the four of us. Me my wife and two small children. The morning food was good. The staff was nice, once we got our room cleaned. But the room was small and the beds were even smaller. Thats probably why i wont go back.

Quick weekend trip with the family. Rooms had roaches, room key NEVER worked went 5x to get it fixed and would never open. Furniture was old, walls had chips and bad paint touchups, housekeeping was very attentive and helpful. Showers had horrible water pressure and no hot water. Pool is cute but small, access to hotel is easy right off the freeway. Lots of things around there; food, shopping etc. But would not stay there again or recommend anyone to stay here.

I had a horrible experience. When I stayed there was a room with banging and loud screaming until 2am. I went down to speak to the front desk about it twice & with 2 different employees. Not only did they tell me the entire hotel complained and there was nothing they could do. They then proceeded to explain it was a CPS removal and the child was mad... So, they couldnt move them because no matter where they put them it would be the same issue. I would have thought that compensation or anything would be in order since we had a 2 night stay and this was our introduction to the hotel. Nope! Just an oh well and deal with it. Then the breakfast they showed online wasn't even what we got. There were packaged mini waffles and bagels and bread, the microwave bacon and powered eggs. The best thing about breakfast was the apple juice from a machine. I will NEVER stay at another Hawthorn hotel. Never wished I purchased the insurance so badly before!

My biggest complaint was the loud music they played in the hallways all night. My kids were trying to sleep and you could hear the music through the door. It should be turned down or turned off after 9pm. We did find a couple tiny ants in our room as well but that happens sometimes. Breakfast was mediocre.

Bed bugs. Woke up at 3am to find my 6 year old daughter with a bed bug on her face! Asked to get another room. They told we had to stay there because there was no room available. We decided to leave and upon waking up my 3 children we realized there were other bed bugs scattered around the bed. Had to drive 3 hours to get home in the middle of the night with my 3 children and wife. I asked for a receipt and they told me they didnt issue receipts for check out. Receptionist was very calm, not surprised at all. Didnt make an effort at all, to see what we needed. Makes me think they are used to complaints. Horrible stay.
