La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Corpus Christi Airport

I was looking forward to my stay at this location. I had other family staying at another motel, down the highway which had worse rating than this one and it turned out that theirs was much nicer. I will say that the staff at this motel were nice and polite, and the check-in was very easy and quick. But that is where it stopped. After check-in, we unloaded and went to the room. The elevator was dirty. The hallways in the motel were dirty as well. Upon entering the room, the room itself was spacious, however, it just has an old and run-down appearance. My wife made the comment, that the sheets smelled like they were not clean. I put our toiletries in the bathroom. There was a huge rust stain in the shower and some sort of other unknown brown stain in the middle of the tub. Initially, the TV would not turn on, but discovered the sensor was somehow placed behind the TV. On day 2, the elevator stopped working, and a crew was working on it for the majority of the day. Trying to find the front desk clerk for towels and such, was “like pulling teeth.” No where to be found, and when she was around, appeared to be disinterested. On day 3 (Mothers Day), the staff was extremely short handed. One person cleaning the rooms for the entire motel. My wife helped out a little and got our own sheets, etc. I have to commend that lady as she was working extremely hard, being away from her family on Mother’s Day. Day 4, we left. A plus, it is pet friendly, but I will not return.

I know this is my second bad review. I chose La Quinta because they are always great! IT WAS NOT! A young man checked us in at night. He was helpful. There were kids running around. I noticed right away there was going to be issue because the rug was dirty, but lets give it a chance. Trash in the hall waiting to ne picked up? Still there the noxt morning. Yes, breakfast. Vey similar to the usual. YAY! We were looking for butter and could not find it. There was an employee making his plate. I thought maybe he was on break so I did not ask him. Then he came back and got another plate? When we left there was no one at the desk? The employee that was eating breakfast is now refilling snack section. NO ONE GREETED US THE ENTIRE MORNING! Kids STILL running around because their Mother was working. So dissappointing.

Hot summer day and the pool was not open due to lack of maintnance bummer. My kids and I were looking forward to swiming.

room wasn’t properly cleaned right , found old French fires from god knows when . Restroom didn’t have shower liner so water was everywhere after every shower. Toilet wasn’t cleaned properly “ urine all under the toilet seat and between ” . Old bar soap wrappers left under sink. The fact a house keeper cleaned that room and a inspector inspected it and turned it over to clean ?! Ya seems like both employees need to be retrained again! We booked every unexpectedly & our children hadn’t sleep we had no choice but to sleep in that room. As we were all exhausted and sleepy .

Room was older with a new coat of paint. I reserved the king suite with jacuzzi and I had to get hotels.com to tell them that when I got there because they said I didn’t reserve one with a jacuzzi. I did kill a baby cockroach but that was the only bug I seen.

First and foremost the lady at the front desk was so nice to my husband and I. We arrived in town early and was able to Check in and get comfortable and nap Before heading off to the beach with the track team. The room was not up to my standards for us to have had to pay 343 plus dollars. We noticed that we only had 1 dry towel and two face towels for 5 people. Which on our reservation it stated 2 adults and three children so we called down to front desk and they stated that we had to return the towels we had in order to get more towels I explained to her we didn’t have enough towels to begin with. They then still only brought us two more towels in which still was not enough so we had to go out and buy towels. The top blanket smelled as if it hadn’t been cleaned so we we removed them off the beds. My husband spotted two roaches in the bathroom. 😳 Good thing we we’re already packing to leave. The breakfast could have been better for the price we paid the eggs was gritty the sausage looked uncooked. I was so disappointed and I felt as if we was overcharged. I don’t see us staying here next year for the state track event.

My family stayed here for spring break using two rooms (there are eight of us). Overall very nice. Had wished rooms had conjoining door. Chose and paid extra for this hotel over another because it had a hot tub and pool. But the hot tub was out of order and had been for some time. Pool was cold and un-heated. That was the only negative. Had I known this I would not have stayed here (other choice was cheaper and closer to beach).

The front desk service was rude! The front receptionist (20 y/o adult) was arguing w/a 13 y/o child, that asked for a towel for the swimming pool, for her 4 y/o sister. No clean towels for showering in the rooms. The carpet smelled like mold. The A/C units didn't work well. They repeatedly swiped debit/credit cards for old reservations, that had been cancelled prior to arrival. The bed/mattresses were dingy/HARD!
