Our room was clean.. rooms need updating, especially bathrooms, not a huge deal. We had a balcony with 0 view because their trees/plants blocked 90% of it. We could maybe see the sky. My kids loved the swimming pool area.. although hard to get in because key cards never worked the pools were nice. This place definitely needs a third pool.. it was very crowded. We reserved this resort with the intention to at least play a round of golf but when me and my husband tried to schedule a T-time for the following morning.. the guy seemed lost like we were asking a super difficult question. He said it was extremely full because of Memorial Day weekend, understandable. He stated the only available t-times were from 2pm and on. He suggested we just use their practice area, so we didn’t schedule anything and stayed in the shop to look at merchandise. The 2 ladies behind us walk up to the counter next, he then tells them the next morning is full like he told us but proceeds with “but I’m sure I can squeeze yall in if you show up about 8:30 or 9am” I’m in disbelief. We were standing there, we were still visible but he didn’t care. Extremely unprofessional.

Great resort in an amazing location for a weekend family getaway. The room was very nice and the pool area was great for the kids. That being said, the rooms could use an update. Everything was clean but looked old, specially the bathrooms. Breakfast buffet was overpriced, basically the same breakfast you would get at a Holiday Inn but in a fancier presentation. If it was included it would be great but at $20pp it is not worth it. At the price point, in general it exceeded our expectations and we would definitely come back. Plenty to do in the area as well.

Overall, our stay was good. We really liked the family friendly atmosphere and the pool was fantastic. The pool area and the lobby/restaurant area are modern and offer a classy, hill country vibe. The rooms could use some updating and feel dated. The housekeeping does not come by your room until you checkout so there’s no daily service. There is no room service and the hotel only has one restaurant so you’ll get tired of eating there after a couple days. Overall, it was a really good stay and I would recommend it for a couple day, family getaway.

Weekend family wedding. The personnel was very good in putting family members close together so visiting each other was convenient .

The service at the restaurant on property was awful. The food took forever and it was way more expensive than it was worth. The entire spa, fitness center and pools were closed, despite the ads about it being "Newly renovated," and "now open." We were not notified of this prior to maming rhe non-refundable payment, or when we checked in. We were not told until we had to specifically ask about the spa hours. The morning of check out, housekeeping came into our room twice, at 8am and 10am. Well before check out time. Both times they knocked and immediately opened the door without waiting for a response. My toddler almost ran out the door. All of these bad experiences overshadow anything good.

Tapatio Springs is a resort in which George Straight is the owner, which is something I found out after booking which told me I was definitely going to be able to expect a nice country club resort. As soon as we drove up to resort we loved the scenery and the vibe resort had to offer. Great rooms amd amenities. Staff is very friendly. Asked for towels and we’re at my door within minutes! Awesome golf course. Great outdoor pool with bar as well, great for the couples and kiddos. Definitely coming back!

Beautiful place. No doubt a fabulous family friendly weekend escape. I can tell the rooms had been halfway updated but could use more work. If they invested just a little more to bring the hotel rooms up to the scale of the main building, it would be a hot spot for all. We will be returning. Overall, love it!
