Very impressed with Tru after first time staying. Modern. Great staff at counter and buffet. Good sleep. Enjoyed breakfast and flair activities like billiard table and outdoor lounge. Liked the personal touch of seeing my name on the TV as I entered. Liked lever adjustable lamp. Like the lemon sugar scent of the soap. Really darn cool hotel. Me and my family of 4 will look for Tru again when we travel. Great pricing and close to the Austin airport.

This hotel had a great feel and look to it. Very pretty and the beds were extremely comfortable. Our airport shuttle was not good. Our shuttle driver took us to baggage claim instead of the terminal, and when I asked him about this he said that he had to leave us here. He then refused to take us anywhere closer or to another door of the airport. He dropped us off on a curb 7 lanes from the front door of the airport baggage claim. We had 12 bags for our family and my children are all too small to help so I had to make multiple trips taking these bags all the way into the airport and up an elevator when we could have been dropped off just a few feet from where we check our bags.

Pros - friendly customer service, kid friendly, clean rooms ,shuttle Cons- breakfast included but both the waffle machine and pancake machine were broken and eggs are made from powder or something that doesn’t taste real, the shuttle bus stops running at 11:30 am and doesn’t start again until 4pm-very inconvenient, to top it off they don’t allow late checkout so you are forced to hang in the lobby and get an Uber, there’s a game room but games were broken except the pool table, not the best if you plan on doing a little work because the business area is open and near the reception desk which gets loud- there are so many options in this area so while convenient and clean not worth it when things are broken and the shuttle is limited

After a long day out and we came back to our room to get into bed early around 7pm due to early flights for the 3 of us. To have to deal with not once but 6 times the room loosing complete power (318) to constantly have to call the front desk to tell them. After the first time it was out for more than 30 mins. The last time, we were told by front desk to remove two of our three phones off of the power and we could bring our phones to the front desk for charging that our 3 phones, 3 PHONES!! Was causing the tripping of the power breaker! That is the worst excuse ever! How could 3 power cords to a cell phone cause the power to trip the breaker box. What if we were a whole family with many items to charge! I have never experienced this before in all my years of traveling.

I accidentally spilled coffee and used towels to clean up the mess. I was charged 50.00 dollars for the towels that can be washed. This is stupid and to think that they would actually do that. If I would have known they would do that I would have called room service to come and clean it. Oh wait I did call them to bring me more towels and toilet paper and 24 hours later I had to go myself to the front desk to get it because they hadn't brought any. Worst breakfast ever even though it was free. Last time I will be staying here. Guess that's what you get when you have kids running the hotel.

So disappointing to find that breakfast was only cereal and 2%milk. No coffee maker in room. Calking around tub and sink was moldy. Worst part was the R-rated "sound effects" from room upstairs. Families with young children, beware.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. My wife is a nursing mother and they went out of there way to ensure that we had a place to store her milk while we were away form our child.

We had an early flight that required us to take a 4:30 am shuttle. When we walked downstairs, there was a homeless man sleeping in the entry way. When we check in the night prior, before scheduling the shuttle and paying the $65 for parking, we verified their shuttle time. The lady stated it was 4 am to 12. Never told us it was noon, and they did not offer a shuttle during the middle of the day. Imagine our surprise when we get back to the airport, call for a ride only to be told there won’t be a shuttle until 4 pm. We landed at 1:30 pm with two kids. So now, we are out $65 and Uber fare to get back to our car. Rooms are small and AC is so so. Will not make that mistake again.

Excellent hotel, we stayed 2 nights to visit family
