Best Western Plus Austin Airport Inn & Suites

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus, Austin. The front office stay was amazing, specially the guy that works the evening shift at the front desk. We really enjoyed our stay.

I booked a night here for my family so they could fly out early in the morning and while the location is convenient they did not feel entirely safe. The door had a large gap all the way around the edges and no proper locking on the door. You get what you pay for I guess but you would think these safety concerns wouldn’t be over looked.

This hotel was ok. My family was not excited about the outdated feel of the hotel and hated the size of the bed pillows ( not a full pillow more like several throw size pillows). Cleanliness was not the worst but also mediocre. We noticed while walking in socks that the carpet was definitely damp , maybe it was just cleaned prior to our arrival but it was uncomfortable and could have caused the odd smell we noticed . Definitely wouldn't suggest a carpet cleaning shortly before a guest arrival. The front desk staff was extremely nice both during check in and out and the best part of the stay. I would suggest working on providing more staffing coverage. When I called for towels ( the room was short towels) the staff at the front desk expressed they were the only staff available at the moment but even then they made sure they dropped towels to my family and I was beyond thankful for the effort. Again, the two front desk staff encounters were the best part of the stay.

I booked a 4 night business trip for a conference. My room was on the 2nd floor. When I checked in I was impressed with the size of the room and it’s quietness. But not for long! I quickly realized that I could hear every step ppl above me took. To make it even “better” - their kids were running around non-stop and stomping like a pack of elephants! I could barely sleep. By night 3 I’ve had it - when at 11pm the elephants kept making lots of noise I went to front desk in hopes of some relief. They called the guests in the room above and asked them to make less noise. That didn’t help. I ended up going up there myself to ask them to keep it down (11pm+). They told me “they were on vacation and would do whatever they wanted”. They then proceeded to go downstairs to ask the front desk if they could have a party in the dining room (they had their friends arriving at that hour). Now I’m from Florida, and there police handles such issues. So I called the police and complained about the noise. Austin police told me it was a “civil matter and I should just take my business elsewhere”. Meaning - the didn’t come. And the hotel did nothing to remedy the situation either. 4 nights at $700+ with impossible sleep. So my advice is the same as that of the police: take your business elsewhere!

This is a great hotel for easy access to the airport. Stayed here because we had an early international flight out and did not want to leave our home before decent hours. Hotel is clean. Staff was friendly and quickly responsive. Hotel was cheaper than the others surrounding it. Breakfast was fully stocked with good options for adults or kids. Will be our go to hotel for leaving early from the airport.

Excellent location, breakfast anf value. Rooms are spacious and it is great for families.

Leah was one of the most unprofessional individual I have ever met, she is actually a manager and her staff have completely lack of any hospitality. Leah was wearing bike shorts, and she a manger there, the owners of this best western are not aware of the way their staff are treating guests. I have the owners information now and have written to them personally because how my family and I were treated was completely unacceptable.

Good for families and closer commute from airport. Did not have airport shuttle though
