Sleep Inn & Suites West Medical Center

Well when we arrived the guy at desk was super friendly, I don't have any complaints about the staff. But our keys didn't work half the time, I got locked out of room more than once. the door closest to our vehicle did not work and had to be propped open to get in and out. We had two towels for 5 people and never got brought any more after I requested more. The floor was dirty and there were food crumbs all over the pull out bed and couch. The room looked like it had not been cleaned when we arrived. The tub was full of some kind of chemical cleaner and the smell was overwhelming, like it was never rinsed. We stayed two nights in the middle of our cross country trip from Nevada to Alabama and while it was a bed to sleep in it was nearly $400 for two nights with inadequate supplies for the room and the pool wasn't in service for the kids, the laundry wasn't available either so we had to load up and go sit at a Laundromat for hours with 3 children. Then when we finally settled home I checked my bank account and they hit me for a $50 fee and when I called the lady on phone told me they said I stole a mattress topper. We did not take anything from the room to be charged extra. We had stayed here previously in 2019 and had a great stay but after this last trip we will never stay here again. 2/5 stars just because we had a bed to sleep in.

The front desk was great. Treated us like family.

The place is clean and quiet. Check in was perfect and they accepted our fur baby. Bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were great. Breakfast is full with eggs buquits and gravy....and waffles

Contacted hotel no one would answer at the front desk so I called the one 800 number and asked specifically for the hotel to make sure that their pool was an order and hot tub because I had children and we were getting in late they said yes and it was open till 11 when I arrived it was close Hotels.com took care of us and compensated for the inconvenience

Staff was very friendly and helped my folks get a bottom floor and close to the lobby as my dad was having problems with walking. The pool area was clean but kinda small. When 2 or 3 families come in it is very crowded. Breakfast was hot and cold. Good choices. Biscuits and gravy were right on. Not dry like some places. Another positive note is there is an Outback Steakhouse right next door. We ordered 3 Joey meals and ate them at the hotel in their dining area. Needed a break from the Golden Arches!!!

The air conditioning did not work, the tv only had 1 channel, the toilet ran continuously. Supposedly they were booked to capacity so they could not offer another room. Was in town for family wedding, so it was very disappointing. The elevator needs service.
