La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Amarillo Airport

The Airport La Quinta in Amarillo is a hotel we've visited previously & always been treated well. We were traveling with family (2 cars) and kids & dogs. The hotel staff was just as efficient and kind as we'd come to expect.

Clean hotel with everything our family needed.

We always stay in Amarillo going to and coming from our ski trips, but it’s always been on the West side of Amarillo. Decided to give this La Quinta on the East side a try and am sure glad we did. Modern, clean and relatively inexpensive. A lot loss people, commotion, noise, kids and dogs. And if you get a room on the upper floor, the sunsets are great! We will most definitely stay here again!

Everything was great and happy we could stay with our dogs. Only issue was we had 4 people and booked a room that said could sleep 4 (king bed with pullout couch). We did not have the pullout couch. Just a small chair. We asked for a room that could sleep 4 and they had none available so our kids had to sleep on the floor. We would have stayed elsewhere if there weren’t rooms available for 4 so we should have not been allowed that option.

Good place for family staying.

This is a nice, new location. Easy on and off the interstate. Everything was clean. The indoor pool was a real plus with kids. We felt secure parking a trailer overnight too. Area was new and safe. My only issue was the amount of dogs-I didn’t realize it a dog-friendly chain. It’s not my thing, but good to know! We had a good stay!

One of the cleanest hotels I have ever been in! Super friendly and welcoming staff. My family and I will recommend to everyone planning on driving RT 66!!

The property is well maintained and the staff was very personable and efficient. Although this hotel was a bit more expensive than some of the nearby hotels, we stayed here on our trip to visit family in Colorado mainly because they are pet-friendly. We liked it so much that we opted to stay there again on our return trip. I would definitely recommend this La Quinta!

Hotel was clean which is why I gave it 3 stars. My card was charged $293. When I asked the hotel if they charge a hold for incidentals I was told no that hotels.com charged me a hold. So I contacted their customer service and was told no the hotel charged you that. So I called back and told them and then the woman told me ok it was your bank that charged you a hold to stay here. So I cal my bank and they informed me that it wasn’t them. My card was charged at the hotel. When went to the front desk and started asking questions and telling her what hotels.com and my bank told me she instantly got an attitude, refused to call a manager, put her hand in my face & told me she wasn’t talking to me and to leave, pointed her pen in my face multiple times, threatening to physically fight me bc I was asking questions and wanted her to call a manager .My husband and I didn’t know what to do except to just walk away. She followed us outside to our truck threatening to fight me. our kids were crying their eyes out bc they can see everything she was doing. She then started to walk around our truck taking pics of our license plate and truck. Cops were called and my bank filed fraud
