Upon arriving, the first thing that I noticed is that it was a smaller hotel, and it was pushed back off of the main highway a little bit to give it a little bit of quiet on such a busy main strip. Loved that. My kids and husband absolutely loved the breakfast each day. It was a little bit different with the main staple of waffles, eggs, in some sort of fashion, and meat it was always really good and offered a wide variety. Of course a free breakfast is always good, but this one would’ve been worth paying for. My main dislike was that the hotel was a little bit dated and of course, you never really see that in the pictures online. It look like they had tried to update certain parts of the hotel, and may even be in the process of doing more. But if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line state of the art new hotel, this is not it. This is the reason for my four-star review.

Our room was next to the exercise room and was not insulated well enough to block the noise kids were making playing in the exercise room. Also, the room smelled like the carpet and fabrics were mildew laden or dog pallets and needed to be cleaned. I asked for another room on another floor but was denied.

The Hampton Inn was a great hotel and the suite was huge. We unfortunately had a dog that barked ALL the time in the next room. This made it difficult to relax when we got to the hotel after a busy day. The workers said they were not aware the room had a dog next door and said they would take care of it. Unfortunately the dog kept barking until we presume the family returned. It barked on and off until 1:00 AM in the morning and then again at 7:00 in the morning. Luckily we were leaving at that time, but the rest of floor could hear the barking. Other than the barking dog, this hotel would had been just perfect.

Overall the hotel was fine, not spectacular but not bad either. We only had one issue and that was i fidnt realize it was a pet friendly hotel so night/day 1 our entire family was woken up by a dog whining and barking because its owners had went down to breakfast. Besides that the location was perfect because we were in the middle of everything but traffic wasnt bad and it was easy to get in and out of. Only a 6 min drive to Dollywood

We used digital check-in, which was great!! The room was very clean. We bought some sodas and laid the girl at the front desk and she acted like it was a bother for us to pay her. She was very unfriendly. We were very disappointed in the breakfast. We have stayed there many times and this year we were not able to eat breakfast there. We tried several times. No biscuits and gravy and very little else to choose from. I got a muffin the last day we were there and it was very dry and tasted old. While we were there, we never saw a manager. We couldn’t really tell who was working there and who wasn’t. There were a lot of kids hanging around the front. The digital check/out was great!! Very easy and quick. This year was a bad experience!!
