Holiday Inn Express Athens, an IHG Hotel

Ilwe went for a family wedding that was local to the area. The area surrounding the hotel was nice with a lot of options for food and shopping. The room was clean the hotel was clean. The breakfast was good.

We just enjoyed a very lovely stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Athens, Tennessee. The hotel is extremely conveniently located for travel along highway 75. The staff at the hotel are all so welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely check in and out experience. They were able to provide us a crib for our baby and even had deodorant that we forgot to pack! We had the large pool all to ourselves and our children loved it! Our room was clean and had everything we needed, including a fridge and microwave. The beds were comfortable and we had a wonderful sleep. Breakfast in the morning is plentiful with so many amazing options including omelettes, several different sausage meats, cereal, fruit, juices, cinnamon buns, muffins, bagels, pancakes, yogurts, etc. There was a friendly lady cleaning and replenishing everything. We couldn’t ask for more. Without a doubt we will be back on our next trip through the area. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

We had a couple issues during our stay... the first night the cable box wouldn't work. It was a bummer but addressed quickly the next morning. Staff was very apologetic and helpful in resolving the issue. Second issue was the pool not functioning properly when we had kids dressed and ready to swim. Staff rechecked the pool levels after calling manager and issue was resolved allowing kids to swim. Despite challenges we would 100 percent stay again.

Very pleased with this stay. Clean, updated, amenity’s where all there for me and family. Would stay again.

My family and I had a great stay for the first time. The room was clean, the service was great, the breakfast was awesome and we fell in love with the indoor pool! I would highly recommend this place. We look forward to a near future visit again.

Very comfortable and accommodating! I felt bad for the 2nd shift worker. I’m pretty sure she was running the entire hotel by herself. There weren’t any pool towels but she was able to give us some. My issue came at checkout. As I was checked out, hands full of our bags, I walked out of the main entrance to find 8 employees (one very pregnant!) smoking. My kids and I had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke in order to get to my car.
