Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sweetwater, an IHG Hotel

Made a reservation online for a family funeral. Walked in and two families ahead of us were being told despite their reservation they did not have a room for them, again the same with us. I tried to give them our online reservation code and the clerk would not even listen to me. Very rude and disrespectful!

We were given 5 different rooms before finally being able to settle in for the night. We were given multiple keys that didn’t work, then sent to a room that was occupied or hadn’t been cleaned yet, then given a room that was not what we reserved and could not accommodate us before finally getting into a room. We have small children and it was late at night and we had to traipse them across the hotel several times. It was awful and seemed like they had no idea what they were doing

Hotels.com sold me a double bed 1 rm. with none available when we arrived, so we had to stay in a king size with a pullout. The stay was fine other than my kids not having a bed rather then a pullout couch. Thanks Marke

I usually hold Holiday Inn to a higher standard. There was a weird smell in the lobby, and there were water stains on the ceiling. Booked a 2-queen bed room thru hotels.com and upon arrival was told there was only 1-king bed rooms available. My daughter said the sofa was very uncomfortable. I had to share a bed with my husband and my 200 lb giant of a son. The bed was so hard, and there were springs digging in my back all night. The room smelled musty. Luckily, I carry a tiny febreze with me. There was a dead bug in the bathroom floor, some sort of poop-looking skid mark in the carpet, whisker hairs in the sink, and crumbs between the bed and side table. Needless to say, I left my shoes on until I got into the bed. I was disappointed in my stay.

Double king room was perfect for our family!

The property is in need of a proper makeover. The pool was clouded. Our bathroom door was dragkng the ceramic floor so bad it wouldn't shut. The room curtains was very dirty. There was not loose sheet on the bed. We had to leave early do ti a family emergency and the was not given a early check out discount. The only good tgjng wasnthe breakfast. Except tge pancake machine was broken.

We got the suite, and were very pleased with the space it gave us for our family. Tho pool was much smaller in person, but it was perfect for our kids! (The pool was only 3, to 4, and 5ft deep)

Pretty worn down room. The drawer on the dresser kept rolling open and blocking the walkway because the room was heavily sloped. It was maybe the worst night of sleep I’ve ever had. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, even my children complained about them the next day. There were hardly any tv channels and the pool was so murky and gross looking that we didn’t dare go in. The draw for this hotel was that only 2 pulled up online in this area and this one had a “make your own pancake” station and comfortable beds by looking at the photos on Hotels.com. Of course the pancake maker was broke and the beds were the worst I’ve slept on in my life. There was mildew in the showers and no vent in the bathroom so traveling with a family made for one hot and stinky room, which the hotel room already smelled heavily of mildew, I’m assuming now was from the lack of a vent in the bathroom. We chose this hotel for the pictures but so wish we had just booked a room at another one of the many hotels along the road nearby on the day of our stay.

While the hotel overall was ok, there were many disappointing parts. The hotel needs a lot of updates and renovations. The room we stayed in was in a bit of disrepair. The paint/drywall on the ceiling was cracking and peeling. The hinges on the doors were rusting. There were stains in the bathtub and bathroom tile. Also, the pool had a sign that said it was being cleaned and would be closed until further notice. This was a big disappointment to our kids. The front desk staff were not very helpful and a bit rude.
