Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Knoxville/East

Appearance of property upon entering was inviting; however, the staff was slow to man the front desk upon arrival & departure. The king-size bed in room looked appealing & clean, but the mattress was hard as the floor—could not rest all night—miserable. The commode in bathroom was at a height for small children—not any adult—especially seniors (did not occur to us that a commode at proper height was a “special” request). BTW the TV in room was placed so low that watching it from bed gave us a view of 3/4ths of screen.

First of I had reservations from a while back, I live in Atlanta traveling to Knoxville. I went to a Graduation of my Cousin but the date got changed at the last minute from Thursday to Saturday. All my family in Tenn.had to work instead of being off and hosting my sister and I. We are Seniors 75 and 77 yrs old.and think it was dirty not refunding our reservations or maybe giving us a credit for one night. We had choice but to not come until Thurs night because the Carter Graduation there in Strawberry Plains was moved from Thurs.(Storms) to Saturday. I usually go to your Hotel because they have a breakfast buffet but not theis weekend???? Another problem my sister and I had was the toilet was way to low to the ground. The one in room 221 was the lowest I have ever seen. With no pull bars it was very difficult for my sister(77) and me(75) to get off the toilet. Other than all that everything was great.
