My husband and I bring grandchildren to Knoxville after Christmas each year to visit extended family. Part of the tradition is staying at the downtown Hilton. It's always clean and welcoming with friendly and helpful staff. One of the kids' favorite things is going to Starbucks in the lobby for hot chocolate each morning. See you next year!

Parking was somewhat confusing. We had to circle the hotel twice before we figured out the public parking lot was also hotel parking. The pool was well kept, but absolutely freezing which was much to my kids' dismay. Overall, would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay - I was traveling solo with my two children and it was perfect for us. A close walk to Market Square and a full Starbucks in the lobby were appreciated, and we never had to drive once we were there. The pool was sparkling and just the perfect size and depth for my 7 and 8 year old to enjoy for hours (though towels were scarce by the late afternoon). The room was very clean and comfortable- though no fan in the bathroom puzzled me, I could see the main ‘updates’ were painting over the mildew wallpaper in there. But a very very minor complaint! Jasmine at the front desk went above and beyond chasing us down to give my kids a choice out of the Treasure Box - thank you to her great service, it was a little extra fun for my kiddos!

I expected much more from the hotel chain Hilton. While the outside had a fire pit which looked inviting, the room in which I stayed in was very dated and drab looking. Then I noticed that room service ISN’T included. Why would I stay in a hotel where there they do not have any maid service! I’m supposed empty the garbage, re-use my towels, and make my bed! While all of that may sound childish, that’s what you expect from a hotel visit! You expect pampering and amenities, in which you pay the extra price for those things. If I wanted no frills I would have chosen some low budget hotel chain. I expected so much more from the name Hilton. Whomever is in charge needs to step down and needs to find someone that understands the amenities required for a hotel.

Hotel stay and staff were friendly, but the misleading labeling on the seemingly “complimentary” waters placed out by the ice bucket we were charged for is just plain wrong. Don’t put out PureLife waters and charge $4 a pop. Pure ridiculous. We also did not have sheets for the pullout sofa bed, even though we marked the room as 4 occupants. Also only had 3 towels placed out. Very inconvenient when staying with a family. They can count overpriced waters but not the towels. Won’t be staying again, they just want to nickel and dime you. But at least our kids got free entertainment of watching 2 homeless people fight outside the hotel. Thanks Knoxville.
