Hampton Inn & Suites Jackson

I specifically chose this property because it lists its amenities as having an outdoor pool. My family was in Jackson for an extended stay for business and wanted to relax by the pool during the days that we were there. The place was torn up for repairs the whole time and the pool as padlocked with a sign that said closed for the season. Why would you choose your main travel season to tear up the hallways, the pool, and half of the parking lot? The breakfast was not kept supplied and there was a wait every morning to put out more supplies. There is no air conditioning in the halls and the summers are quite hot and muggy in that region. This is supposed to be a Hampton Inn owned by Hilton. Because of this, the prices are quite a bit higher than other hotels in the area. This place is more like an Econolodge.

We booked this hotel mainly due to the pool since my kids wanted to swim. Pool was closed and there were no mention of it on the website. Room AC was dirty and one bed wasnt tucked and have an under sheet.cjeck in was long and one person was manning the breakfast rush and was doing a great job. But you can tell she was overwhelmed. No coffee cups in the front until we asked for refills. For $250 a night I expected more.

Really nice, clean hotel. Pool and gym were closed for maintenance or renovation. Wanted to take the kids swimming but oh well.

We stayed overnight on a family trip, had two rooms. One room was fine, the other room had not been cleaned or sheets changed, and the window shades were pulled down and broken. When we brought this to the attention of the person at the front desk, she was defensive and even implied we must have messed up the room ourselves. The hotel was full so another room was not available. When we requested, she provided clean sheets for us to change the bed ourselves. The sofa bed mattress had nasty stains on it. The bathroom was not clean, hair everywhere. The hotel is showing some wear and tear but wasn't bad in the common areas. And breakfast was very good.
