Wingate Inn Chattanooga

Me, my husband and two kids were there for the weekend for my son’s basketball tournament. We booked this hotel the day of cause we weren’t sure if we were gonna have to stay or not, It was so easy to book and once we got there even though it was a little early they let us check in which we were so glad cause we needed a nap after waking up so early that morning. Loved the location, so close to a lot of stores and places to eat.

We live in Florida and visit family in Wisconsin and always make this our hotel to stop at to take a driving break. We will NOT be back the next time we travel. This hotel has gone way downhill. We wanted to heat up some food in the microwave and when we opened it, there was MOLDED Chipotle left from the previous guest. The TV did not work as well, which was a bummer because we just wanted to wind down. When brought up to the front desk, they did not seem to care and said they would make note of it. We usually eat the breakfast, but decided to throw everything out after realizing the milk was spoiled. We did not want to eat anything after that in fear that they used other expired food in their breakfast buffet. SUPER DISAPPOINTED. Take your money and spend it at another hotel.

The first room had a bad odor. The second room had roaches in the bathroom. The third room had someone already in it. The 4th room bathroom door looked like a prison door. I wouldn’t never bring my kids there again.

The room was clean, and we were pleased with its value. My family enjoyed the morning breakfast. We had a little trouble with the key cards to the room and building.

There were several restaurants and stores around the hotel so that was something that I enjoyed. The staff was pleasing. The only thing that gave me a problem was the door handle to my room. I used the key card and unlocked the door but, still, the door wouldn’t open. It was stuck and this gave my family and I a lot of confusion. I went to the front desk and received an answer that I needed to pull the door handle up instead of down. I mean, I would’ve appreciate this information earlier before going all the way up to the room.

The beds are comfortable. It is close to our grandchildren.

First room we went to had juman feces stain on a chair. The room was dirty and humid. They gave us a new room quickly and the attendant was friendly, but this room wasn’t much cleaner. My wife and I grabbed baby wipes, and anything we would wipe would return dirty. The room felt humid and wet to the touch because of the A/c. It was prepaid so we continued our stay. The sheets did smell clean, but I don’t recommend this hotel and I personally will not be staying again.
