La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rapid City

The pool is still there are all these years. Breakfast arrangement works. It's a buffet, but arrangement uses the snack bar/restaurant so you have a booth to enjoy the start of the day in a relaxed manner without jockeying for a limited number of wobbly tables like other places I've stayed at. Fun for a while, but as the kids get older it fails to have the same all day draw since no upgrades to the slides have been made. I don't count the birthday room as an upgrade.

Room was dirty! Hair in bathroom. Service was rude in the area to get bracelets to swim. We couldn’t get into our room magnetic strip in door had to be changed. No towels. Seen different types of bugs. It was very uncomfortable. Water area was ok for the kids but all together it just wasn’t what we hoped for after a long day of travel!

The hotel was extremely busy with the water park attached. We were put on the 3rd floor with two young kids above us stomping and running back and forth for hours. I called the front desk and they said they would talk with them. That lasted about 10 minutes. I won't stay at a hotel with a water park attached again

The hotel was nice and accommodating to our needs.Even though recently remodeled, the couch cushions in our room were flat and tattered.We went there specifically for the water park. Daily passes were $30/ person. But I was glad to get a free spectator pass with 4 children. Breakfast was good with a nice variety.

Not very quiet as they have a water park attached to it. So, lots of children. Can get pretty noisy and loud. Especially if you have people above you.

There is a water park attached to this hotel. Place was packed with families, and also Friday night partiers. Very noisy late into the night and early in the morning. It was just a bad fit for me--traveling cross country and really needing rest. The staff were nice but swamped. Breakfast was packed. It was a nice room and convenient area. People seemed to be having fun. I hardly slept and had a seven-hour drive ahead of me. Avoid on a Friday night if you're looking for rest.

Room was fairly clean, long hair on bathroom floor, dubble washed the bathtub before I let my kids in there, the coffee maker was nasty there were crumbs and completely dusty where the water goes in, I had to clean it and I still got stuff in my coffee, it says they have infant beds, but when we got there, they didn't so I had to go buy a playpen for my 3 month old because I didn't want her sleeping on the floor, swimming was awesome, kids really enjoyed it! Only thing is that we had to buy daily passes to get into the water park even with staying in the hotel, there was a thunderstorm one day and only got a few hours of swimming but had to pay full price, other than all of that it was a pretty good weekend

Hotel was clean and convenient to airport. Unfortunately (probably due to the on site water park) there was a lot of noise from kids running up and down corridors and families with lots of small children congregating in adjoining rooms and in corridors. The happy hour at the bar and the breakfast in the morning were great. It was ok for a one night stay.

Property is a resort so there is a lot of people coming and going. It was very noisy even into the night. I suggest older adults not be assigned a second floor room where kids run in the hallway a good part of the day/night.

Hotel was nice and breakfast was good as well. Lots of kids for Saturday night birthday parties but room was quiet so we all slept well! Thank you!
