Courtyard by Marriott Rapid City

The whole family really enjoyed our stay. We were on our way home back from our annual family vacation. Wanted to see MT Rushmore, so stopped for a nights stay. Hotel was nice, clean and very relaxing.

There was a CONSTANT noise above which sounded like kids running. We think it was the heating/or cooling. Our unit made noise in our room as well.

The hotel is nice, new, clean and smells good when you first walk in. We only interacted with staff upon check in and out and they were fine normal as expected. Our room however, it was clean but we were given a joining room and I don’t understand why when you book with Expedia you are treated differently and different ( worse) rooms are given. This has been my experience so many times. I think Expedia should work on this with their vendors so we are not treated differently. My issue with the hotel and room is that fridge works only for 2 hrs. This is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve stayed in plenty of Mariot hotels and this one was not as good. Good goes bad and I know this is because they want you to eat at their restaurant. Not cool in 2023 new hotel and fridges that are operating only for 2 hrs. Walls of the rooms are paper thin and room next to us had family with small children- well you can imagine. On top of all that bed and pillows very uncomfortable. I don’t get it, even if it is rapid city you are charging a lot for the room, and you do not offer breakfast either. While parking was not an issues for us 3 nights we were there and we came back after 8pm, I can see how it could be an issue as it is shared, and one night we were close to not having parking. All this included price of the room is to high, however we chose it because it’s newer and looked clean but I would do better research next time to decide if I would stay there again.

Great hotel for when I am visiting my family friends

It was very up to date and very clean. However, I should have looked deeper into the breakfast, as it didnt offer free breakfast and not even free coffee. The bistro that was there we didn't even find anything appealing. Not kid friendly. The parking lot is shared with 3 hotels. The staff was not overly friendly. We were disappointed with the price we paid.

The accommodations were all around grest.The bistro was good but not kid friendly.

I stayed at 4 places on this trip and the Marriott was by far the best. Slept like a baby and didn’t have to check out till noon! I lived the chimes in the shower, so unique! Will look for more on my next trip!

We hdve stayed here a dozen times since it was new a couple years ago. It is still like brand new! Its in the same complex as the Watiki Waterpark, which I have not hone to. The Waterpark appears to be s great place for families, but have never heard lots commotion from youngsters. The only catch is that free breakfast is NOT included. Its $10.00 more per person. Not a problem for me. I do fast food breakfast 1 block away for $3.00. We will be back!

Amazing stay at Courtyard. Rooms are spacious and clean. Recommend to families.

Our family was in Rapid for the State Basketball tournament. This was a perfect hotel to stay in! Location and easy access to things. We loved that the waterpark was right by. The hotel is beautiful and we love dour king bed with a pull out couch. It was the right amount of space for our family of 5. The bathroom was spacious. I think the icing on the cake and the reason we'll go back is the STAFF!!!! So friendly at check in and while we were sitting in the lobby/bar area. Then, when we got home, we realized my son had left a pair of shoes in our room. We called and they were so kind to ship them to us. GREAT SERVICE!
