Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Rapid City

Very nice hotel! Our one king bed room with a sofa bed was huge! Very clean, super quiet even with lots of little ones running around and the Sturgis rally starting. My 18-year old and I had fun going to the water park, but it was an extra $25 per person, which I had t read prior to booking. Young man at the front desk was very sweet! Would absolutely stay again!

I booked 3 rooms and upon arrival only one was ready. No worries, they take my number and will call when the other rooms are ready. I’m still waiting for them to call. After more than 2 hours we drive back to check and sure enough the rooms are ready. No explanation for not calling us. The young man checking my rooms for me was soft spoken which is fine except the woman there was so loud and obnoxious I could hear everything she was saying to everyone else - and believe me I didn’t need to know it. She also spent so much time talking that people were waiting in line behind me and she acted like she could care less. Too busy talking to notice I guess. When we got up to our rooms, one of them had a nonfunctional toilet. It took more than 3 hours and multiple phone calls to get it taken care of. This is not okay. The response from one phone call was: well they have 5 hotels to take care of, you’ll just have to wait. That is not what you expect to hear. Nor should it be. Maybe they need to ask for more maintenance people to be hired. If we travel back to that area I am not sure I’d stay there again. Not a pleasant experience at all. But the best part was the airport shuttle. Some of my party had an early flight and needed to be at the airport at 4am. No worries right?? Wrong! They get picked up by the shuttle along with a family of four. When they arrive at the airport they are told it was $22 per person. Yes. I thought shuttles were free? No upfront notice.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was the last day before we flew back home after a great trip to South Dakota. It was attached to a water park, Watiki which my children enjoyed (ages 7,13). The place was next to lot of places to eat including fast food for those who travel with children. You do have to pay extra for the water park but was worth the easy Acess from your hotel room.

The room we stayed in was unfortunately dirty we have toddlers so we always do a small run through and found trash Easter egg and everyparents worst fear A Pill. If it wasn't for us looking out babies could ate the pill and could have gotten so sick it was at eye site so I don't know if the room was vacuumed. We were very disappointed ☹️ PSA TO PARENTS ALWAYS DO A WALK THROUGH COULD SAFE UR BABIES FROM INJESTING ANY SORT OF MEDICATIONS LEFT BEHIND.

So very convenient for families. The indoor water park, restaurants nearby any shopping.

Just an overnight stay on a multiday road trip. If you are an adult, don't bother with the water park. Small kids with DIAPERS ON allowed in the hot tub. NASTY!

Had to wait around for hours for our room to be ready. Was told 3 pm then 4 pm. Also was told I would get a call when my room was ready and I never did. Traveling with 3 kids this was not ideal for us being from 9 hours away.

We enjoyed our stay here! The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast had a good amount of choices as well. The bathroom was nicely remodeled and had a nice supply of shampoo, conditioner & body wash. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was pretty quiet. We did have some rowdy kids running sprints above us for 3 hours but after a phone call to the front desk, all was resolved. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff gave us a free “upgrade” to a balcony seating over the water park which meant we had to listen to the kids scream at the water park. The towels weren’t the cleanest and there was dirty stuff left over from the previous guests

Excellent hotel, close to shops if needed. The water park was great for kids especially on the snow day. 2 choices of restaurants and breakfast included everyday was great.
